COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2010 This is a good balansed, beer for the typical winter seson food. But it is a good chosis to save some bottles to have for special occasions in the rest of the year. Keep it in a dark and cool place.

Bottle. A hazy, amber beer with a dense, finger-thick off-white to beige head. Lacings. Milk chocolate and some roasted malts on the nose. A good dash of yeastyness and some hops too. Smooth and effervescent, medium body fullness. Quite bitter in the finish, with milk chocolate and roasted malts initially. Ok, so it’s designed to go with traditional Christmas food, and I think it will, but it won’t be my preferred choice. It beats most of the low ABV choices, but I prefer a slightly bigger one with my Christmas food. 100514

Nice brown color, bread and caramel, very modest bitterness from hops. OK with food, rather boring on its own.

330 ml bottle, bought at Lørenskog Brus-shop. ABV is 4.7%. Dark brown colour, big off-white to beige head. The aroma has very moderate fruity notes, followed by notes of brown bread, hints of caramel. The flavour also has a certain fruitiness, slightly acidic, followed by notes of münchener malts, bread and caramel. Moderate but noticeable hops in the finish. Dry aftertaste. No masterpiece this one, but drinkable.

Flaske 0,33l mottatt som gave fra Rune. Takker. Mørk gyldenbrun på farge. Uklar. KI=2

330 ml bottle. Dark brown. Clear. Medium-sized off-white head that clings to the glass. Crisp floral and nutty aroma. Notes of chocolate and roasted dark malts. Lightly bitter initially, then on to the richer and sweeter malts. Nice maltiness and decent complexity for a beer this low in alcohol. Finishes slightly dry from hops.

Bottled at Skihytta, Trysil. Clear brownish amber, small head. Dryish and fruity. Light bodied with clean mouthfeel. Not much of either malt nor hop flavour. Low bittdrness. Simplistic.

0.33 L bottle from Fenaknoken, Oslo. Two finger of dense, yellow-beige head, upon a near-clear, brownish red body. Initial aroma of green apples. Then a scent of toasted, sourish bread and caramel. Taste is fairly dry, medium malty with a sourish accent. Tones of pepper, some roastedness and faint caramel. Mildly hopped, noticable in the finish though, but did not spot the amarillo. Not very filling. If not diluted, quite thin in the mouth. Dryish malty, slight bitter ending.
