2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Finn (3090) - Tromsø, - JAN 11, 2010Flaske 0,33l mottatt som gave fra Rune. Takker. Mørk gyldenbrun på farge. Uklar. KI=2
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 VictorSA (75) - NORWAY - JAN 22, 2013
Munkegata 22.01.13.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 TyggaBrown (266) - NORWAY - JAN 2, 2013
Not the greatest of all beers I’ve tried. Too yeasty, and a bit thin. Some nuts and caramel, but too little christmas feeling.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 daje (1400) - NORWAY - JUL 6, 2012
Bottle.
Clear amber, low whitish head.
Malty aroma, caramel, some spices, after a while some herbal notes too. Taste of caramel, roast and chocolate, ok balanced. For a beer that’s meant to go with norwegian christmas food I’d prefer it a lot more bitter though.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Skinnyviking (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2012
Courtesy of Rune. Bottle. Low but lasting off-white fluffy head. Hazy orange brown body. Sweet roasted malt caramel raisin nuts aroma. Thinbodied and somewhat flat roasted malt flavor without much hops bitterness. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 esp0r (1324) - NORWAY - MAR 25, 2012
Bottle from Centra Colosseum enjoyed at home
Deep red, beige head. Smells of anis, caramel, burned malts and raisins. Taste is quite malty, good sweetness, aggressive caramel flavor too. Malt bitter finish. QUite thick feel fo a beer this low abv. MEdium bodied. Quite a punching bag for a shop strength yule beer. A bit too sweet for my liking but hops, spices and malts are actually quite nice
2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 Foffern (772) - Bodø, NORWAY - DEC 27, 2011
Bottle at Hanne på høyden, Bergen. Hazy dark amber with off-white head which diminish fast. Aromas of sweet malt, spices and meat. The taste is more towards bitter berries. The beer is slightly dry and bitter. Very thin mouthfeel. Overall it smells good but feels very light in the mouth.
1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 Oysteib (67) - NORWAY - DEC 25, 2011
From bottle. Color dark red/brown, slightly cloudy. An overwhelming, very unpleasant smell of fermented cheese ("gammalost"). The beer is very, very bitter, with some sweetness trying to balance it, but all in all the whole thing is totally ruined by the gruesome taste. Taste is subjective of course, and some may like this. But definitely not my cup of tea, and not like anything I’ve had the misfortune to find in a beer before.

Reading the other ratings, I have to wonder if my bottle was from a bad batch. But I can only rate the beer that is in my glass.

1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 tfredvik (650) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 16, 2011
What? No aroma? How is that even possible? Ok, one more sniff… Well, I get some extremely faint malty notes, so this is probably a beer. I pour the odourless liquid into my glass, and find a medium brown body topped with a small, very short-lived head that ends up as a thin film. On the bottom of the glass there are big lumps of yeast. Ouch. The taste is almost as vague as the aroma: light sweet and light bitter. The flavours are, believe it or not, rather faint. I get mostly yeast and some citric notes. Not bad, but certainly a bit strange. All the yeast also gives a slightly metallic feel. Sorry Atna, I’m certainly not letting this accompany my christmas food.
