Bottle. Copper hazy, thick white head. Smells of citrus, flowers and malts. Taste is malty but not with much sweetness. Feel is quite dry. Finish is super hoppy and bitter. Very nice! The american hops work very well here.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tfredvik (369) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 29, 2011
Initially the body has a beautiful, dark golden colour. Unfortunately the large amounts of sediments on the bottom of the bottle are very easily disturbed, so even if I stopped pouring long before the bottle was empty, the beer ended up rather hazy. The large, off-white head is fully lasting and leaves some lacing. The aroma is yeasty and malty with caramel, also floral notes and spices. Light bitter and light sweet initial taste, followed by a solid bitterness and a moderate sourness (that unfortunately is not as pleasant as the sourness that was present in the Haandbryggeriet hesjeøl that I had last night). Long-lasting bitter aftertaste. Very dry texture, soft carbonation. Ok beer.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 7, 2011
0.33l bottle. Pours a murky light brown body with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malty, thin slightly sourish yeast. Medium carbonation and a blit light bodied. Tastes not too bad with a mild bitterness and a some what watery and dusty finish. Still not horrible, but I would not drink this next time I’ll have a good old rakfisk meal.

330 ml bottle. Almost clear, dark golden body with a medium off-white head that fades. Aroma is dominated by malt with a hint of caramel and not much more. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel and moderate bitter. There is also some kind of roast that tastes almost like brown sugar. Medium body and medium aftertaste. The bitterness is more noticeably in the aftertaste. Not a very memorable beer.
