3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 harlequinn (2745) - Tacoma, USA - JUN 15, 2006
Had high hopes from this one, because of the popularity, and the "hype," but the truth was this was kind of lacking. Great hop nose, lots of citrus and grapefruit, but the malt body was much ligher than it needed to be. Still has alot of great flavor and is enjoyable, but is just not big enough to wrap itself around my palate.

Orange hued straw body. Fresh floral hop nose. Bready malt character with mild caramel sweetness. Mild citrus and pine. Some notes of apple and lemongrass. Pleasant.

Hazy orange with mild carbonation. Lovely, piquant piny hop aroma with a prickly yeasty hoppy flavor. Would love to know the hops used for this one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 presario (4131) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 27, 2006
Light lasting head. Orangey gold colour. Orange citrus aroma. Aggressive hop bite. Vicious citrus finish. Served at a nice temperature. More rind than fruit in the flavour. I seem to have had a better sample than Oakes on his visit but was also told that the Hefe had to be dumped because of a brewing problem.

[Sample Tap]
A nice IPA that was not too heavy on the hops but for IPA’s this needed more to be a IPA I liked it but it was ot a good IPA to style. I had a great time at the brewery. Need to stop and have a sampler tray and you will like it all.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 fordest (1954) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - SEP 27, 2005
This wasn’t so bad. Aromas and flavors typical of an IPA. Due to the name, I had to ask if it was a double, but I learned then as I see now, that it is not. I was informed that this is quickly becoming a staple here as it is very popular among the regulars. Very sweet aroma. Flavor was IPAish, but the mouthfeel was a little more watery than I have come to expect. Overall. Not to bad
1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 9, 2005
Cloudy straw-amber colour. A little bit lemony in the aroma. I’m getting phenols, baby, and lots of them. It’s about all I can taste. When you’re drinking literally three feet from the tanks, there can be no excuses.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAY 9, 2005
Sampled draught at Atomic Ale’s Eatery in Richland, WA Cloudy yellow, light head, nice lacing. Nose of light hops with some wheat. Malty flavor, light bitterness, sweet finish. The same yeastiness is present here.
