Gravity, Leicester 2011. Beer 01- always start at the beginning. Bright yellow amber, white rim. Grapefruit and roasted nut aroma; flavour easy on the heat- juicy grapefruit/satsuma hop and hobnob notes prevail with a late lick of chilli burn. Solid bitterness, not even medium spicy. Rounded and husky- more biscuit and balance than previous Atomic chilli beers, which is a shame. Lingers on the lips for a good 10mins after it’s gone. Good start to the festival as usual.

Cask. Leicester Beer Festival 2011. Medium white head, yellow gold body. Overwhelming sulphur. Chilli on the palate. Bitter with a bitter finish.
