Cloudy golden color; creamy head. A real Grand Cru, with a strong malty and spicy aroma, dry; light fruitness developing later. High carbonation, but very smooth, again with malt and spices. Pretty short final.

Very nice head. A little yeasty. It is citrus sour and the hops are shining here. Nice golden colour. A little metallic aftertaste. Fine beer though.

haukur (1741) - Reykjavik, ICELAND - AUG 22, 2003
a somewhat strange aroma, yeasty, and something I cant quite figure out, a little hint of wheat but it gets better while warming up. Head is VERY large, beautiful white. Appearence is a winner, gold orange color with a fabulous head. Now the first sip... very strange, hoppy, and those 6 different grains make a quite interesting taste, some hints of spices, and some bitterness, tiny tiny hints of sweet and fruits. Palate is lasting like caesar said. Cool logo and a cool glass... I will have to try this again. Thanks Eirikur! a nice brew to honour with my 140th rating this year....

caesar (6644) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAR 27, 2003
Cloudy golden color, with a medium-size longlasting creamy head. Aroma is sweet, cheesy, citrus. Taste is citric, spicy, bit sharp of alcohol perhaps. Palate is lasting, sweet spices with a touch of alcohol. Triple like beer, which is pretty good and recommendable.

Blond colour, cloudy, with a thin but persistent head. Citrus aroma, with hints of corn. The flavour is...well really strange I think: fruity (green apple and citrus) and grainy and a sweet flavour I couldn't recognize. Quite bitter finish.

Light copper color, with a huge, creamy, consistent, white head.Carbonation rushing for the top. Airy, citric, floral aromas.Excellent lacework.Mouthfeel is spritzy and somewhat off in a way, metallic. Somewhat sweet, grainy, floral, nutty flavors in the mouth.Excellent bitter, fruity finish. FOr the alcohol content this is rather, easy to drink.

Blond with an enormous head and a citrus aroma. Very carbonated. Flowery, fruity taste with similarities to witbier.

Allseeingeye (223) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 24, 2002
Golden bronze color. Small head subsides leaving a thin screen of bubbles. Not very lacy. Pleasant Belgian yeast aroma. Fruity: pears, apples, and hints of melon or berries. Smell of grain enhanced as oxidation occurs. Initial sip is a faint yeast bite ensued by a spritzy feel on the palate. Undetermined floral/fruity flavor to start followed by a roasted nuttiness. A little more than medium bodied, but not quite full. Toasted whole grain flavors leave a buttery feel on the tongue accompanied by a subtle dryness that gently pulls this six grain elixer down your throat.
