Pours a deep brown on tap with fluffy tan head that leaves moderate lace, much darker than expected. Aroma and taste of mostly grout and bready grain, sweet finish but not overly so. Nicely done, it seems like without extract lime most places are doing these days. Better than expected.

On tap at HopCat in Madison, WI., served to a tulip showing a purple highlighted, blackish brown color, with a presentable layer of tan head foam, and sheet-like cling to the lacing. The aroma was blueberry and malt, as a blueberry pastry, with hints of roastiness & cocoa on subsequent review of the nose. Better than medium body, with decent carbonation, the taste presented a bit of sweetness & tartness, some earthy astringency, and even better than the pastry description, was reminiscent of Boo-berry cereal. Surprisingly boozy & bitter for a Fruit Beer. Although a blueberry fan, it didnít seem to fit the desire at the time for a refreshing, fruity, sessionable beer.

I liked this one a lot more than I expected to. +++ Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a very dark brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet blueberry muffin. The flavor was blueberry muffin, sweet and yeasty with toasty malts and vanilla. As it warmed notes of chocolate and raisin came out. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Alcohol well controlled. Well done.

12 oz bottle. HAzed brown/ruby pour. Bottled jan 15. Aroma is oxidized bluebrry. Its tarter blueberry with a medicinal vanilla soda flavor. meh. Too old.

12 oz. bottle (from Total Wine- Sleazy Park, TX) served in a shaker- poured an almost transparent black when held to a light source- shades of maroon and purple were spotted, razor thin ring off tan in color formed upon the vessel with nominal lacing. Aroma of blueberries (seems VERY artificial- bad Michiganders, BAD BAD BAD), sugar, and bread. Hits the mouth with a light body, malt is awash in blueberries (yep, itís artificial), blueberries in the middle, blueberries on the finish- with a spot of bread like feel on the tongue. Iím disappointed in you Atwater- you might as well make a beer with tofu and kumquats like these TexUGHtuckies do down here- or so it seems...

On draft at World of Beer in Arlington. Pours a clear cola with a tan head. Blueberry aroma. Flavors of blueberry and chocolate. Does not do it for me.

12oz bottle, thanks to a MI friend. Notch date is on July í15. Blueberry in the nose, some chocolate, then caramel. Some raisins and dates in the flavor. Mostly clear red brown color. Ring of off-white/light grey head. Some bits of lace. Fades to minimal. Greg says he gets a bit of a citrus, flintstone vitamin character to this. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, kind of sugary. Very mild bitter, a bit medicinal. Moderate to bigger body. Holy crap, this is 8%? Well, actually the bottle says 6.9%. Thatís reasonable. Pretty sweet, really it could have passed for 8%. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, light bit of bitter. Kind of slick texture. Alright blueberry ale, I guess. Like a blueberry muffin, kind of, but that flavor if forced in a blunt way. I was nervous to do this 12oz on my own. I glad I shared it: 4oz was plenty.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark almost black color with a purple hue when held to the light. Almost no head. Aroma is a strong blueberry smell. Taste is a fruity blueberry flavor thatís not very sweet.

Black brew with small tan head. Smells like a porter with a hint of berry. Taste is dark malts, slight smoke, and blueberry. Not much in the way of cobbler flavor but still a pretty good brew. Too expensive to purchase again but was worth giving it a try.

Pours black. Very small head. Aroma is like a bready stout. Flavor is bitter, coffee and chocolate. The blueberry comes in a little on the finish. For something called a blueberry cobber ale, itís way off. It should be called a coffee chocolate, blueberry stout. Lower the disappointment level.
