Pours dark brown with little to no head. Grainy aroma and flavor. Not much in the way of bourbon flavor. Not great.

Bottle. Dark pour with a beige head. Cheap bourbon aroma - almost smells like a cleaning agent as well. Palate is a bit thin. Lower flavor.

Bottled. Aged 3+ years. Dark brown. Really nice brown head. Sweet, coffee-ish nose. Smooth body. Notes of coffee, chocolate, the mildest of malty notes.

Bottle, aged from September 2011 bottling. Aroma of caramel, toffee, sweet milk chocolate. Appears dark brown, flat, minor foam. Tastes a lot like coffee, lingering coffee. Somewhat fizzy texture. Overall, nice but simple.

Bottle pour to shaker. I was intrigued by this offering with a lower ABV and price than associated with bourbon barrel aged beers. I bought a single bottle but will buy more next trip to the store. It does not have whiskey or oak tones but is still a nice, smooth porter that I enjoyed.

Draft pour. Dark brown with a beige head. Taste is sweet and a little toasty with some notes of vanilla and coconut. Medium to full body and soft carbonation.

12 oz bottle pours black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla and roasted malts. Taste is malts, coffee, chocolate and a little oak.

Pours a dark mahogany, no head. Aroma is oak and smoke, with some caramel. Reminds me almost of a campfire. Flavor is harsher when cold, but as it warms up there is very little flavor. There’s a little bit of bourbon and lots of caramel, but very little of either the more you drink it. The body is thinner than you’d expect. Not very good.

Licorice, sweet, oak aroma. Appearance is a reddish, dark brown with a tan head with poor retention. Flavor is a sweet chocolate with low hops. The char of the barrel is present on the end. Roast flavor is smooth. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Overall, it's an ok beer. Lacks malt complexity though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lacking in the bourbon flavor. A little too Light ConSidering the beer is slightly needing more flavor of its own. Would like to try it in the bottle ad we had on tap.
