2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at tap house Munich. Light roast and fruity nose. Black, big brown, slightly reddish head. Light chocolate roast under cherries. Falls flat after that, no chewy follow through , no dry spiciness. Ok chocolate cherries in the aftertaste.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark black with tan frothy slightly lacing head. Aroma is faintly roasted with hints of chocolate and a bit of cherry. The body is quite weak, moderately sweet, with an oily finish and no tartness at the finish. Other cherry stouts are definitely better

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from bottle. No head. Light roast aroma but I couldn’t pick up the cherry in the aroma. Bland cherry flavor.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; cola with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes of dark malt and some cherry with a bit of roast. Average on the palate. Not bad.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz. bottle in a pint glass. Pours a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma is pretty meh: some roasted malts, but mostly just a really generic "beer" scent. No signs of a cherry scent. There is some cherry in the taste, but it’s weird and not particularly enjoyable. And the after taste is bitter and astringent without being good. On top of that, It is a very thin beer, especially for a stout.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Single 12oz. bottle purchased from Top Shelf Brews Thursday evening. Paid, I believe, $1.79, if not less. I may need to recheck the receipt to confirm this. To pint, it pours black with a creamy, sudsy tanned vanilla cream head two to three fingers, which gradually sank to barely a fingernail in length. Aromas of Fruit Roll-Ups®, maraschino cherries, pomegranate seeds, clementine peel, walnuts, and pine bark. Based on how it smelled, I thought it was going to have agreeable flavors. But its primary tastes consisted mainly of cherry ChapStick, charcoal, and skunked stout. Please no more.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
stouty but there’s a certain lightness to the mouthfeel. Cherry definately there but luckily not as overpowering as some like it. Weak Malt.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2015 Bottle: Black body with a somewhat thick, tan film that shows good retention and leaves mild lacing nearly all the way down the glass. That’s pretty much the highlight of the beer. Aroma barely has cherry in it. Some roasted malts, grains... what else? Almost no aroma on this "cherry stout". Taste is tart and sour, tastes infected almost. More just brash "tartness" and not so much real cherry flavor. Roasted malt background. Plain, boring, semi-infected tasting, and uninteresting. Sticky & coating the palate in the finish, thin mouth feel for a stout. Not a great beer.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
They got the aroma down pretty good. The body was thin...too thin for my taste, some notes of caramel and roasted malts. The problem I had was that the cherry flavoring was noticeably synthetic and chemical.
