Pours a light black color and smells like cherries roasted malt and farts. Taste is cherry and stout like. Not great. Tart and boring.

Dark brown pour with a light tan head. Aromas of slight cherries and watery malts. Flavor is way too thin! It’s like a watery stout with cherries. The flavors that are there are good this beer just needs to be so much bigger than it is currently.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2016 On tap at Dan’s on February 21. I don’t know where to even start on this. The pour is incredibly thin, almost like cola, and there is a light light tan head that fades down quickly, leaving almost no lace. The aroma is a little malty maybe, with some cherry in it. Lots of metallic bullshit. The flavor is also thin, and the cherry is just there in a light passing. The mouth feel is extraordinarily watery, and I just have a hard time passing this as a stout. Out of a bottle is the same. Atwater blows so hard.

Bottle. Pours Coca-cola amber with a slight beige head. Aroma of chocolate, sour cherry, cereal. Tastes like drinking a flat Guinness with cherry gummies in your mouth. On second thought, it’s not that good.

Tap at tap house Munich. Light roast and fruity nose. Black, big brown, slightly reddish head. Light chocolate roast under cherries. Falls flat after that, no chewy follow through , no dry spiciness. Ok chocolate cherries in the aftertaste.

Pours a dark black with tan frothy slightly lacing head. Aroma is faintly roasted with hints of chocolate and a bit of cherry. The body is quite weak, moderately sweet, with an oily finish and no tartness at the finish. Other cherry stouts are definitely better

Poured from bottle. No head. Light roast aroma but I couldn’t pick up the cherry in the aroma. Bland cherry flavor.

Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; cola with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes of dark malt and some cherry with a bit of roast. Average on the palate. Not bad.

12 oz. bottle in a pint glass. Pours a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma is pretty meh: some roasted malts, but mostly just a really generic "beer" scent. No signs of a cherry scent. There is some cherry in the taste, but it’s weird and not particularly enjoyable. And the after taste is bitter and astringent without being good. On top of that, It is a very thin beer, especially for a stout.

Single 12oz. bottle purchased from Top Shelf Brews Thursday evening. Paid, I believe, $1.79, if not less. I may need to recheck the receipt to confirm this. To pint, it pours black with a creamy, sudsy tanned vanilla cream head two to three fingers, which gradually sank to barely a fingernail in length. Aromas of Fruit Roll-Ups®, maraschino cherries, pomegranate seeds, clementine peel, walnuts, and pine bark. Based on how it smelled, I thought it was going to have agreeable flavors. But its primary tastes consisted mainly of cherry ChapStick, charcoal, and skunked stout. Please no more.
