3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle from the Atwater Holiday Pack. Pours dark brown/almost black with burgundy edges. A vigorous pour only netted a thin beige cap. Aroma is sour cherries and roasted malt. Flavor is artificial cherry flavoring with malt. Thin palate for a stout. Low carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown in color with a full tan head filled with tight small bubbles.Light aroma full of malts, caramel and sour cherry. This is a ok beer that is very unquie and worth a try but could be much better if it was a little thicker.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Pour faily dark, but pretty light for a stout. Looks more like a thin porter. Aroma of cherries. Aroma is actually not that bad. I wish I could say the same for the flavor. Quite acidic. Not that great.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
The aroma is a little dirty and watery with coffee, brown sugar. and a hint of sour cherries. The appearance is 100% head at pour with a dark brown color. The taste is like the aroma with an acidic finish. The palate is a bit thin. Overall this did not work for me it seems nothing like a cherry inspired stout.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
THOUGHTS: Not as bad as some of the other reviews would suggest, but not great either. The cherry was a little artificial smelling and tasting and it drowned out most of the stout qualities in the flavor at first. The stout flavors came out a little more as it warmed.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a very dark red that was basically black in the glass until held to a light, where ruby shines through. It also had a large, tan head that mostly, but slowly diminished, keeping a decent sheet that left excellent lacing. The aroma had light to moderate roasted malt; hints of coffee and chocolate at first and then more; and cherry. But mostly cherry in both sweet and tar forms. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and lightly tart; while the finish was moderately sweet and light to moderately sour and slightly bitter. There was caramel, cherry (both sweet and tart) some light coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. The medium body was a bit syrupy, but also fairly slick and then a little dry with lightly fizzy carbonation and a lightly astringent and slightly chalky finish.

Beast: Was not his cup of tea
Beauty: The flavor wasnít overwhelmingly cherry and the taste got better as it warmed up and got around room temperature. The head was a light pink almost white and it was overall really tasty.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Faint cherry nose. Dark brown, clear, faint orange highlights. Thick head. Nutty, oak, dry palate, a bit fruity and sour. Alright, but I donít know if Iíd get it again, a bit sour/acidic built up on me.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. I guessed before I poured that the beer would be translucent. Score! Deep translucent garnet body, medium dissipating to thin tan head. Thin, tart nose, mostly cherry skin, perhaps hints of chocolate. Thin, tart, acidic body, with cherry skin and modest dusty, roasty malt, but drinks more like a generic cherry ale than a cherry stout. Itís as if Atwater bottles equal parts beer and water.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle received from AirForceHops. Poured black as tar. Thick tan head that left solid lacing. Aroma of black cherries. Taste of cherry juice, hint of chocolate and malt. Sweet and medium carbonation. Thin mouth-feel. Tart watery finish. Glad it was given to me as I would not purchase it myself.
