Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Hazy light amber pour. Citrus and floral notes in the nose. Good hop to malt balance, maybe leaning a bit to the hop side. Citrus, yeast, and floral notes build with a lingering aggressive bitterness that doesnít seem to go away. Not the cleanest IIPA but decent.

Tap at brewery into snifter. Aroma of light citrus hops. Appears gold with thin white head. Little lacing. Taste is almost all hops with citrus and acid. Malty, bitter aftertaste. Light Mouthfeel. Nice, easy drinking dIPA that is not very memorable.

Smell is bright hops with a slight alcohol sniff. Hops smell like sweet flowery rather than evergreen. Nice creamy white head stays at top but doesnít coat glass much. Color is a golden haze. Taste is lightly sweet. Very dry bitter aftertaste that lingers on tongue. The sourness also lingers on but shorter than bitterness. Body is light with soft carbonation. Finish is again bitter and long with some tart. My first Double IPA, is probably the longest lasting finish on the palate of any beers I have had so far. Would enjoy this style more if finish wasnít as tongue numbing.

Crisp clear golden and light amber coloured body with a thinnish, soapy two centimetre tall head. Aroma of alcohol, resin, grapefruit, grass and some floral hop notes, all with a bit of sugar and some moderate yeast. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep grassy, herbal and resinous hop characteristics with a nice malt backbone, some subtle peach and pomelo sweetness, but quite a lot of bitterness noticeable from the hops. Aftertaste shows some good alcohol notes, a pleasant level of complexity and solid bitterness on the end without being too cloying. Overall, a surprisingly nice Imperial IPA that I wasnít expecting much from the ratings here. My bottle shows a good deep bitterness without being pungent or showing too much alcohol. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchantís in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$2.99 sampled at home in Washington on 22-February-2014.

Pours a hazy gold yellow with a little white head and no lacing. Aroma straight honey . Taste of hops and honey. Sweet on the nose and palate. Not a great day but not a bad day kinda like that
