2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle pour to shaker. Cola-like appearance. Chocolate fudge aroma and taste. Too fizzy on the palate for my taste.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is sweet chocolate, vanilla on the end. Appearance is a dark brown, light brown head. Taste is light, malty, very chocolate aftertaste and super bitter about 2 seconds after you swallow. Mouthfeel is average, light and slightly carbonated. Overall it is ok, could do with higher ABV as there is much potential here.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Botte. Pours black. Small tan head. Aroma of chocolate. Flavor is of bitter dark chocolate. Sensation of it being powdery. Lots and lots of chocolate, but nothing else. Rated it reasonably well because I enjoyed it, but in order to be a superior beer it needs a thicker palate. Kind of thin. Could use a roasty quality. Interesting though that even with a thinner palate the finishing mouthfeel is full and it left me satisfied. Regardless this is a nice winter beer.

Bottle there is chocolate and there is chocolate like substitute. My first impression was that this was made with hot cocoa powder. It just doesn't taste like you would expect.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of northernbrews. Thanks! Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of cocoa, chocolate, not much else. The taste is chocolate, honey, toasted malts. Thin. Promising aroma, but the beer falls flat a little. Decent overall.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Has a nice name...color is dark chocolate in color with brown on the edges. The 1 finger of tan head dissipated very quickly. Aroma was pure cocoa powder and not much else. Taste had a hint of cocoa powder right away followed by some mild after taste I can’t really describe. Mouthfeel was light and watered down.

Bottle. Dark pour with a smaller tan head. Awesome aroma of Nestlé Quik and maple syrup. Taste is a little less intense than the aroma. Nice beer.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a dark, almost inky, black with one finger of fizzy tan head. Nose is super chocolaty, and that’s about it. I don’t want to even make an attempt at describing the flavor. It’s like someone condensed Moo-Hoo and then watered it down. Done describing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is roasted and malty, with a bit of chocolate. The taste is roasted syrup, if it existed, and some dark chocolate. Overall, pretty nice, something I would drink again.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black with sticky lacing. Rich cocoa on the nose is awesome. Palate is medium-full with a great cocoa presence...not chocolatey sweet, but good nitter cocoa. Tasty..my favorite from this brewery.
