A great looking and smelling Stout, but something is slightly off with the toasty flavor.

Draught @ Tap-House, Munich. Pours a pitch black colour with a beigeish firm head. Aroma of dark rich chocolate, burnt caramel and earthiness. Flavour of rich liquified chocolate, pudding, mild bitterness, some caramel sweetness and herbs. Medium bodied. Very soft mouthfeel. Good balance. Nice one.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque brown/black color, dark tan rim head, lace slides back in. Taste is light toasted malt and chocolate that moves neatly through the palate to a slightly bittered finish. A nice simple brew, a little light and watery, but satisfactory for 5.5% abv. Does what it intends.

Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of dark chocolate, light vanilla and a hint of fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth watery finish. Flavors of dark chocolate and a hint of vanilla with a smooth watery lingering chocolate finish.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2014 Stout. Kahlua and sweet choco aroma. Dark, sunlight does not penetrate through pint glass. Thick rich taste, once again, Kahlua. Great. Better when closer to room temperature.

Pint on tap. Dark chocolate brown but nearly transparent in the light, with a lasting ring of foam. Aroma is maple, chocolate, caramel and toast. Taste is the same with vanilla, a bit of dry grass, and cocoa on the finish to provide a decent balance. Near-medium body leans to the sweet side and has medium carbonation. Easy to drink dessert beer that never becomes cloying, but I had to shift to something more dry for a second pint.

12 fl oz. bottle. Pours dark, dark, dark chestnut brown with a burgundy hue, and a thin latte coloured head. The nose makes me think Hershey’s chocolate syrup with light creme brulee, light vanilla, and smells a wee bit artificial. Taste wise, is not as sweet as the profile would lead you to believe. Medium bodied, there is a surprising amount of butterscotch, with dark chocolate, dark maple syrup, and Halloween molasses kisses that lead into more caramel, pecan, roasty malt notes, with vanilla, espresso, and mineral notes in the finish. Totally decent. Was expecting a sugar bomb, but it’s easy drinking, and drier than you’d think. I’d buy it again.

Great aromas of dark chocolate, and toasted malts. Very thin/watery on the mouth with an oily feel, finishes semi bitter. Very sessionable.
