jgentgesdo (544), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Nov 12, 2007 Pours cloudy brown with way, way too much head. Nose is faint roasted malt. Flavor of crystal malt and hospital coffee with a faint hops bitterness. Watery. Forgettable.
Soonah (519), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Sep 10, 2008 Wish I had read the reviews of this before I bought it. Oh well, it was only one bottle in a mixed six so whatever. A gusher that had soured. The aroma was barely malty and slightly sour. Malt flavor and thin chocolate are washed away by chemical sourness. Body wasn’t great. Drainpour. fearnobeer18 (1), USA does not count Sep 8, 2008 The most dangerous beer in America! Its exploding all over the USA! LITERALLY!! Of course its over-carbonated, it started refermenting on the warm shelf or truck it was shipped in. Using cheap glass doesn’t help and the forty year old soda bottle filler doesn’t get steam sterilized (chemical only).
DIRTY BREWERY = DIRTY BEER! markwise (287), Satellite of Love, Florida, USA Aug 11, 2008 A gift from Sandman2222. Good stuff, rich in flavor for a lager. The head is unbelievable. This head is VERY anxious to meet you. I had 1/4 a glass of beer and an overflowing head. A bit weak in aroma, but flavor has lots of malt, and some nutty or maybe banana flavor? Very sweet in the finish. Surprisingly complex for a lager. llbjr77 (59), Largo, Florida, USA Aug 9, 2008 Really disappointed in this beer. It took 8-10 minutes to be able to empty the bottle into my glass. Foam head was as tall as the glass. Slowly faded. Color was nice and aroma had caramel, malts and a little sweetness. Way too much carbonation. I tried to finish the pour drinking right out of the bottle and ended up with it running all over everything. Again, was excited at a dark beer, but other than the color was really disappointed. kiefdog (479), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 6, 2008 12oz bottle courtesy of sandman2222. Pours a dark chocolate brown with an immense foamy tan head. In fact, the head was so large that I was only able to pour a few ounces at a time into my lager glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with some notes of caramel and sugar. Flavor is somewhat chocolatey and sweet with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Light to medium body with a sweet slightly coffee finish. I agree with many of the recent raters who suggest this beer is way too carbonated.
