1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 fl. oz. bottle via my bro (thanks!), served cold in a tulip glass. Murky, dirty deep amber with a fair light tan froth. Black tea, slightly earthy, quite devoid of much in the way of hops or malts, a little British style malt, stark. Medium body, moderate effervescence. Watery and stark with only a bit of British malt, light toffee and caramel, black tea again; dry with unbalanced bitterness and a very stern British finish. No thanks.

From a bottle poured an amber color with a good amount of head. Very bitter hoppy flavor with a lasting finish.

Aroma had a metal smell. Not a strong hop flavor here. Tastes better the more you sip it. Almost had a sour taste with a slight hint of apple.

bottle. Poured medium amber, a touch hazy with a moderate creamy off white head, nice lacing. Fresh citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, palate is tart and dry. Lot’s of hop flavour, grapefruit with a spicy note. Sticky dry finish

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy dark orange amber with a way big rocky head that never quits, fluffs of lace. Taste is bright sweet caramel malt that grows through the palate, adding a toast flavor. At the finish, distinctive floral hops arrive, but not nearly enough to call this an IPA. Quite good as a Pale Ale, and good enough to have more than one.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle - pours hazy pale amber with off white head and thin lacing. Nose is pine, citrus andante thinner. Flavor adds caramel. Bitter. Refreshing though there is funky aftertaste. Light to medium body. I’m starting to wonder if this brewery is subpar.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: AUG 9, 2013 12 oz bottle This ale poured with huge white head. The head overwhelmed the glass. The IPA poured a deep amber color with lacing down the glass. The aroma had some citrus, malt and some light spice. The body was medium with average carbonation. The taste had caramel malt with some mild bitterness. This IPA has a nice citrus bitterness that is very balanced with the malts. The finish had more malt than hop presence. Had another from a bottle. The head was normal and the color was a clear amber. It has the bitterness of an IPA but needs more fullness on the tongue.

Big disappointment here. No head. Muted hops. Looks burnt orange. Funky malt flavor. I expect better.
