2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - MAR 22, 2007
Clear orange color, medium head disappears quickly. Aroma is sweet malts. Sweet taste at first, becomes sour with a light dusty hop. Weak overall.

Semi-cloudy appearance with an dark copper color, big & bubbly tan head, nose of caramel & yeast, medium in body, thin & watery flavors, slight hints of caramel malt in the flavors with just a touch of bitter hops, dry finish with more hoppy notes, nothing that sets this amber beer apart from any of the others, below-average
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 HumuloneRed (750) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 17, 2007
Beer of the Month Club. 12 oz. Bottle. Bottle open with loud pop. The beer foams heavily in glass. The nose has vinegar notes to it. Sour and some sweet notes in the flavor. I don’t think it held up well. Need a fresh sample.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 guzzler67 (1373) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - JAN 14, 2007
Reddish amber appearance with a small, off white head. Muted caramel malt aroma followed by some soft fruit. Initial sweet malt taste is overwhelmed by a disagreeable vinegary flavor that continues through to the finish. Age could be a culprit but the undated bottle doesn’t offer a clue.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 MattShizzle (457) - Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2007
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2007 Bottle - from sampler pack. Light amber, a bit cloudy. Not too good. A bit sour. Not much flavor. Very overcarbonated. Worst one in the sampler.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 hopscotch (7288) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 26, 2006
Bottle... Hazy orange ale with a mid-sized, fluffy, off-white head. The nose shows signs of infection... biscuity, but also sharply acetic. Pungent flavor with light sweetness and mild bitterness. Medium-bodied with medium carbonation. Finishes very tart and tangy. Doesn’t seem oxidized, just "dirty." However, I pretty much like anything sour, so this one scores decently on my personal scale. If I rated by style, the score would be much lower.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 NYHarvey (2153) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 31, 2006
Aroma is grassy and slightly tart. It’s a pale amber color with a thin, quickly fading, off white head. Thin, tart fruity fore with some acidity that makes me think this may be the world’s most low key Flemish Sour. Some mild hearty grain notes int he middle and the finish is again tart and acidic. This is probably not what it was meant to be and yet it is curiously enjoyable.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Dogbrick (4531) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2006
Pours a clear and dark copper color with a medium thin light tan head. Thin, spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and sour fruit. Medium-bodied and much more tart than most Viennas. Tart/sour fruit overpowers the toasted malt and caramel flavors. Still, I was able to drink it. The beer either does not translate well, or is actually trying to be more like a Flemish Sour. The finish is fruity and tart, with a hint of vinegar. Below average, no matter what the reason it tastes like it does.
