2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3205) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 17, 2006
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-amber color with a small yellow head. The aroma was lightly malty and vaguely vegetal. The flavor was bitter, tangy and vinegary with a bitter finish. Pretty blah.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 Cappadonna (110) - Delray Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 4, 2006
Pours translucent copper with off-white bubbly head. It has a pleasant harvest / oktoberfest like aroma with sour notes. The sour notes are in the flavor as well but not as enjoyable. However, sweetness intervenes in potent small doses. The plate is chalky and unpleasant.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Tmoney99 (6892) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 3, 2006
Draft sample at MBGF. Dark amber with moderate off-white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium sweet aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a smooth soft sweet finsh of short duration.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jetzler (622) - oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA - JUL 5, 2006
Bottle 39F Lager Glass. Aroma is of light malts, with some sweetness, and a bit of citrus. Nice amber clear color, with a white head that provides ok lacing and low head retention. Flavor is light and malty similar to very light caramel, perhaps a slight brittle taste. Finish is fairly dry very drinkable. I thought it was a decent brew.

In the bottle. This was a June 2006 Beer-of-the-month club selection. Thanks to p-man for the beer. Pours dark gold/light amber in color. The off-white head is nearly non-existent. Has a bit of a buttery aroma. The flavor is very buttery from diacetyl. Quite sweet Finishes pretty grainy.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 WhiteSoxFan (152) - USA - JUN 22, 2006
This rating is for Atwater Rost. I can’t get the Stoney creek website to come up, so I don’t know if this is the same beer as Stoney Creek Rost or what? 12 oz. bottle from Beer of the Month Club. Drank on 6/2/06. Very clear, really light amber / copper color. Decent 1+ cm. off-white creamy head. Drops slowly to a nice thick layer of foam. Eventually a ring, almost no lacing. Aroma is not strong. A little spicy, a little bready aroma. Really carmelly. Aroma gets stronger as it warms. Flavor - sharp and crisp. Not a ton of flavor, but pretty well balanced. Caramel and toffee flavors after the swallow. Maybe a tiny bit of noble hop spice and maybe a little spice from the yeast. Palate - nice and light. Highly carbed and dry and crisp. Overall - OK. Nothing special. Nothing bad, but pretty boring. Little too much caramel from me.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 RAYBOY01 (2003) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 14, 2006
Sweet caramel and toffee maltiness. Very rich, round, creamy texture. Some light citrusy notes as well. A light herbal hoppiness in the finish. Eminently drinkable.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 beerguy101 (4825) - Newark, California, USA - JUN 8, 2006
This amber pours a light copper color from a 12 oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel and toffee, touch of earthy and floral hops. A medium bodied amber. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly floral and earthy. Kind of mild, kind of watery. Kind of a typical amber. Mouthfeel if thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
