COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Weizen Dopplebock is dominated with 60% wheat that imparts a nutty-bisquit flavour. Ir is complimented with Perle and Hersbrucker hops for a nice sweet finish. Our biggest beer yet. Prost!

I bought a single bottle of this as part of a M&M 6-pack at Everett’s in South Beloit, IL. Pours a medium brown color with slight bubbles of carbonation rising to the top, however there is not much of a head to this beer. Has an overall nutty scent with some scent of wheats. The first taste that hits you is the nutty flavor mixed with biscuit. It’s a smooth, refreshing, bold taste that finishes clean and dry. Decent brew but leaves a chalky after taste that I don’t care for too much.

Sampled at GABF on 9/18/2010. This weizenbock pours a slightly hazy light brown color from the tap. Medium sized head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, bready with a touch of alcohol. A lighlt to medium bodied weizenbock. The malts are fruity, sweet and bready. The hops are herbal. Kind of thin for all that alcohol, and not as malty or sweet as one would expect from a weizenbock. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some alcohol.

This was an interesting enough beer. Smooth with good malt character and a lot of hops in the end. I had a couple of the six one on day and finished the rest on another. On the second day I detected much more of a roasted coffee flavor -- bitter, dry. Overall good. Not too much alcohol noticed.

12 oz bottle. Pours a reddish brown with some haze and a small off-white head. Aroma of ripe dark fruit, caramel, toffee, and fresh bread crust. Flavor mainly of dark fruit, especially raisin, with some flavors of bread crust and toffee, maybe a bit of spicy anise. Light palate for a beer of this ABV, with a clean finish. Despite the light palate, the alcohol is pretty well hidden. Not bad.

Hazy brown with a muted cider taste and aroma. A bit of acetaldehyde puts me off right away. Alcohol is hidden well enough.

12 oz bottle: Aroma is malty, grainy, ever so slightly fruity with a caramel, and wheat note. Appearance is a thick cloudy muddy brown with a very small tan head that is gone very quickly. Taste is plum, malt, wheat, bursting out of mouth. Wow that’s a pretty powerful taste. Slightly dry on the tongue. Lightly spicy and fruity as well. Overall, This is quite a powerful beer all around.
