COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
TC is the cherry capital of the world and now Montmorency Cherries from this colorful town in Michigan’s “Up North” have made their way into a wheat beer for the ages, for a taste that’s totally cherry. Prost!

bottled - not much aroma. Decent amber color. Needs to be a little less tart and a little more sweet. Not bad but I was expecting more.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled in 4/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of light sweet/tart cherry, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with solid balance of cherry, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with very weak strength. Taste of light sweet/tart cherry, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance and solid robustness of cherry, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy/acidic mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a decent fruited wheat beer style. All around good balance and solid robustness of cherry, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A fairly enjoyable offering.

Draft, strange beer. Pours what I am assuming is a medium red color with thick white head. The nose is sour cherry with mild malt base. The flavor is tart cherry with mild wheat. Knowing these cherries I would have done this the other way around. A more pronounce wheat with the underlying cherry tartness. Otherwise this is just an average or below cherry wheat.

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly pinkish yellow gold with a huge head. Very over carbonated. Aroma is wheat and yeast with some cherries. Flavor has wheat and good cherry flavor. Slightly tart sour. Interesting beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Interesting... Points for trying something different but needs some work. The cherries lean sour and the tartness seems to compete with the wheat rather than complement it.

Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance-The beer is served a deep amber color with a hint of ruby red mixed within. There is a small white head that sits atop the brew upon serving, with it having a light level of retention and fading to leave a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma was somewhat what you would expect for a cherry wheat- cherry and wheat. Along with these aromas are some lighter smells of a caramel sweetness as well as a little bit of a grainy aroma. Taste- The taste begins with a rather cherry sweet and lighter wheat and bready flavor. As the taste advances the sweet cherry lessens a bit but is replaced by a little bit of a caramel sweetness. All the while a little bit of graininess and some light yeast comes to the tongue. With some flavors of a little bit of toasted bread coming to the tongue, one is left with a rather sweet, but not cloying, cherry wheat flavor to be left on the tongue. Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side as well. For the style the combination of moderate body and carbonation are perfect as they really nicely complement both the fruit cherry and wheat flavors of the brew. Overall, rather well done. Overall - A decent cherry wheat, but nothing overly exceptional. A good try, but overall, a Sam Adams cherry wheat is much better, at a comparable cost, and it just as easy to find.. so I would say go it instead.
