1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Pours coppery ruby red, with a larger soapy white head. Nose is malt, mild cherry, light brown sugar brown sugar. Kind of flat beer, very mild cherry flavor, (I was expecting more) wheaty malt, and light palate heft. Overall not a big fan of this beer. This is the first Attwater Beer I didn’t like.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft, strange beer. Pours what I am assuming is a medium red color with thick white head. The nose is sour cherry with mild malt base. The flavor is tart cherry with mild wheat. Knowing these cherries I would have done this the other way around. A more pronounce wheat with the underlying cherry tartness. Otherwise this is just an average or below cherry wheat.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Interesting... Points for trying something different but needs some work. The cherries lean sour and the tartness seems to compete with the wheat rather than complement it.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance-The beer is served a deep amber color with a hint of ruby red mixed within. There is a small white head that sits atop the brew upon serving, with it having a light level of retention and fading to leave a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma was somewhat what you would expect for a cherry wheat- cherry and wheat. Along with these aromas are some lighter smells of a caramel sweetness as well as a little bit of a grainy aroma.
Taste- The taste begins with a rather cherry sweet and lighter wheat and bready flavor. As the taste advances the sweet cherry lessens a bit but is replaced by a little bit of a caramel sweetness. All the while a little bit of graininess and some light yeast comes to the tongue. With some flavors of a little bit of toasted bread coming to the tongue, one is left with a rather sweet, but not cloying, cherry wheat flavor to be left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side as well. For the style the combination of moderate body and carbonation are perfect as they really nicely complement both the fruit cherry and wheat flavors of the brew. Overall, rather well done.
Overall - A decent cherry wheat, but nothing overly exceptional. A good try, but overall, a Sam Adams cherry wheat is much better, at a comparable cost, and it just as easy to find.. so I would say go it instead.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium cherry amber with a frothy head cover and small bands of lace. Taste is malt up front that adds sour cherry in the palate, turning slightly bitter in the finish. I’m not sure all elements agree with each other in this brew...pretty solid going in, not so ggod in the lingering finish.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a reddish-tinged dark orange-amber with a medium, fine-grained, pillowy head. Nose is very mild cherry fruit with yeast and bready notes. Not at all sweet -- definite cherry notes, spoiled somewhat by a metallic canned overtone. It’s a weird mix of fresh cherry and canned cherry pie filling. The wheat beer is, I think, dragging down the cherries. Finish is better than the taste. It’s all right.
