UPDATED: OCT 17, 2012 Delicious!! Almost tastes like Cola. Slight vanilla like wafers, slight Java like Java chip ice cream. Slight coffee taste but not really strong like a stout. Weak porter but nice n dark. On a recent tasting: chocolate popsicle with a hint of root beer

APPEARANCE - very dark brown with thick foamy beige head. NOSE - I’m a bit shocked that this has hardly any scents coming from it at first, especially not vanilla or java. The coffee side does come through as it hits room temperature. F LAVOR - pretty good lighter porter flavor. The java nor the vanilla come through strongly. As the sip finishes I get some hints of vanilla flavor

Very floral scents, almost lavender. Java notes not as strong as I hoped, neither was the vanilla. Very soft flavors overall though, not that bitter

HopsandBolts (172) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 30, 2015
On tap at the Ottawa Bier Markt.

Appearance: Pours a dark black with finger or so of thick white head. Tons of lacing.

Aroma: Chocolate, moca, toffee.

Flavours: Chocolate, ginger ale, moca, coffee grounds.

Mouthfeel: Thick and smooth with a bit lighter carbonation.

Overall: What a really nice Porter! The aromas jump out of the glass and the flavours convey everything in the aromas plus a few surprises like ginger ale. Very easy to drink and something I would definitely order again.

Spab (2725) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 29, 2015
On tap at the Bier Markt (Don Mills). Pours a dark brown with modest-sized light tan head. Aroma is sweet vanilla with some subtler roasty notes, chocolate and hints of coffee. Flavour is also more sweet than roasty but the coffee note comes through a little more‎ to go with lots of vanilla and some chocolate. Average carbonation and a body maybe a little fuller than average. Very pleasant beer.

joejames (315) - Jacobus, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 15, 2015
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours black with red hues under strong light. Small, short light brown head, no lacing, no retention. Aroma of vanilla extract. Tastes sweet, no real bitterness, just more vanilla. Light bodied, average carbonation, thin mouth feel. Finishes sweet. Tasting notes of chocolate, artificial vanilla, roasted malt, bad coffee and metallic notes. Not very good.

onceblind (5232) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 7, 2015
Deep dark brown with a thin foamy light beige head. Nice nose of sweet vanilla and dark chocolate tones, with just a kiss of smokey roast. The flavor explodes with dark chocolate and milk chocolate with smokey tones of coffee, caramel, and a wallop of sweet vanilla. Lingering oaked chocolate finish with some roasted sugary vanilla. Pretty swell.
