3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours black with a small khaki head that dissipates quickly.
Coffee aromas followed by some vanilla undertones, not a very strong smelling beer though, had to really get my nose into the glass to find it.
Med. to high carb. a little more than what I’m used to in a porter, but quite smooth. Some caramel at first followed by the dark coffee taste that lingers thru the palate, lemon grass picked up in the middle with a hint of good vanilla flavor at the end. Not bad, just not my cup o’tea. If you like coffee porters/stouts this would be a good choice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brown pour with ruby hints. Tan head and lace. Vanilla and coffee dominate the nose. Vanilla, light coffee, and a decent malt bitter on the flavor. Medium body with ok carbonation. Thins out in the end somewhat.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Too much vanilla here. The java comes through, there’s plenty of chocolate as well, but the vanilla dominates. Tried with Jess, Mark, and Matt at the DC brewfest in 2014.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice flavors of vanilla, roasted coffee, sweet cream and cocoa. Body was a bit light for me. Good tasting beer that probably just needs some tweaks to improve.

Aroma is vanilla and sweet chocolate. Taste is similar ....vanilla sweet chocolate and roasted malts. Not a lot of depth.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
355ml bottle. Pours nearly black with a one finger, khaki head that thins to a ring. Aroma has large notes of vanilla with some sweet chocolate, and faint roast. Taste is slightly bitter. Mild vanilla, slight chocolate, and a bitter coffee ending. Low-medium body and with a low carbonation. Thin texture. Nearly watery with a dry finish. Overall ok. Definitely get vanilla with some coffee notes at the end. Needs to have a fuller body for me.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours black with minimal dark brown head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Vanilla dominates the start with coffee in the middle and finishing with some dark chocolate. Full bodied with a somewhat creamy texture. Somewhat fizzy carbonation and a very long finish. Great beer overall. I would love to try this super fresh though.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz Bottle. Aroma is vanilla with some chocolate malt. Appearance is a dark brown with no head. Taste is toasty which goes quickly to vanilla. Finishes a dark malt, almost burnt flavor. Overall, a derby beer. Would be nice on a cold day.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle - vigorous pour and a minimal kakhi head. Dark coffee aroma and taste. Very thin even for a porter. Some vanilla in there but just not that good.
