Wow. This one is so smooth that I can’t even handle it. Pours super dark and thick with a very minimal head. Hints of chocolate and coffee to the smell and taste. This is a great find.

Pitch black pour. Sweet vanilla and chocolate aroma, and flavor is similar, very sweet and tasty without being too sweet. Medium, creamy bod. So good!

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled Feb 2012. Pours pitch black color with a nice 1 finger dense khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Some nice soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, cola, earth, cream, dark fruit, and light smoke. Some nice aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of big milk chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, cream, coffee, slight fruit, earth, and light smoke. Very small roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, vanilla, cream, coffee, and roasted malt on the finish for a good bit. Big malty flavors with good balance; and no cloying sweetness. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very creamy, slick, and thick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming present on the finish. Extremely smooth to sip on. Overall this is a damn nice and very unique imperial stout. A ton of chocolate flavors with good balance; and extremely smooth for being 11%. Really well done effort.

Dark with a thinnish tan head. Very vanilla. Low on the malt, nearly no hops.

This tasted thin and watery. Picked up vanilla, but no strong coffee, chocolate, malt, hop, etc. None of the boldness or complexity typical of the style.

One of the few beers I have poured out. Not true to style. Aroma had slight hints of chocolate. Caramel malt taste but color is off. Hops barely noticable.

Bottle notched March ’12. Pours very dark garnet red with a creamy 2-finger beige head. Aromas of cocoa, mocha, vanilla, chocolate, and some smoke; a bit sweet. The flavor is sweet chocolate and vanilla, light smoke, and marshmallow; this reminds me a bit of Southern Tier Choklat. Medium carbonation and body, with mild alcohol. Pretty nice. [1019]

On tap at Pinocchios. Dark pour with good lacing. Milky and lactic with chocolate malt balls. Not a lot of roast. Good but not great.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of roast, malt, slight lactose, and a hint of char. Poured very dark brown in color with a large, creamy, dense, brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Very hazy. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, roasting, chocolate, and some lactose. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Malt, roast, chocolate finish is slightly dry. 11%ABV is completely hidden throughout.
