3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz. Bottle: Aroma of roast, malt, slight lactose, and a hint of char. Poured very dark brown in color with a large, creamy, dense, brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Very hazy. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, roasting, chocolate, and some lactose. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Malt, roast, chocolate finish is slightly dry. 11%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a black coffee brown with a thin, half-finger head with a bubbly fluff of cream which quickly recedes. Aroma of graham crackers, burnt marshmallows, chocolates, (essentially, símores), roasted malts, coffee, subtle vanilla, and tons of cinnamon. Sort of loose bodied with a somewhat bitter, yet firm palate that does not yeild any trace of the alcohol; sublte flavors of caramel, esspreso, bittersweet chocolate, and almost marshmallowy in the finish. This beer is exellent. Very well done.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate, licorice and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted dark sweet malt flavor with a medium to heavy chocolate sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This beer exceeded my expectations.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours deep brown/black with a thin tan head. Aroma is boring with light dark fruit and a bit of roast. Flavor is a little mire aggressive...nice roast and good cocoa. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish has nice dark cocoa.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark, dark brown. Smells just as an imperial should smell. Taste of chocolate and coffee up front then fades to vannila on the back. Alcohol is hidden very well, but the effects are still there. Good job Atwater.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours black with a thick tan head.slight aroma of chocolate and coffee with a little smoke.flavor is heavy in chocolate with undertones of coffee and very little bitterness.mouthfeel is creamy but could definitly use some more body.at eleven percent alchohol is very well hidden.little fine tuning this could be a real good beer.needs more complexity and aroma.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black like the namesake. Very little head. Has a chocolateey taste with a typical bitter imperial stout aftertaste.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
This stout looks the part, but it kind of goes downhill from there. Burnt dominates with burnt chocolate, coffee and cola. But there is also this box of milk chocolates filled with flavored syrups-ness about it. The flavor is a bit too sweet, with not nearly enough bitterness. The palate tries to be smooth, but ends up coming off as watery.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Almost black pour with tan head that fades quickly. Aroma is light chocolate with a light coffee. Initial taste is rich chocolate milk that almost borders on vanilla. Pretty hard malty bitter. An after taste of dark chocolate bitterness. A slight sourness on the finish as well. No abv or at best a slight warmth. Medium/full body but a bit fizzy for my tastes, A beer that is better than average and on the cusp of being really good.
