4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Amazed that the abv is so high. Not a shock to mouth for imperial stout. The slight smoke ending is great, it is the vanilla bean beginning that makes this creamy dessert. You donít have to enjoy an imperial to like this.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black pour with a beige head. Aromas of roasted malts and cocoa. Big roasted malt flavors follow with notes of chocolate and coffee. Abv is well-hidden. Not quite as robust as I would have liked but still good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Little thinner then I would have hoped but still a great stout. Lots of chocolate, lots of roast malt. Itís very good, more Atwater beers should be this good!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with a one finger foamy beige head. The nose is rather sweet for an Imperial Stout with lots of chocolate and dark caramel. A lesser influence from the roasted malt. Lighter notes of licorice and alcohol. The flavor is equally sweet with a heavy vanilla component. Lots of caramel and milk chocolate sweetness, with the roastiness emerging on the finish along with a little alcohol. Medium bodied and rather smooth for the high ABV. It doesnít mention vanilla anywhere on the bottle, but the flavor of it really dominates this and gets a bit tiring towards the end of the bottle,

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fresh bottle. Pours jet black with thin head. Slightly caramel bordering. Aroma is espresso, almond, some cocoa, anise. Light espresso flavor, faint chocolate. Alcohol is burning through here and leaving a bitterness on the palate.

Aroma - very roasty in the nose and full of espresso - you can tell itís going to be burnt bitter
Appearance - the is opaque black, with a tan head.
Taste - is a very dark malt, not as big as itís bite, some chocolate as well.
Palate - body is full, texture is somewhat creamy, and the finish smooth.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is surprisingly light for a big beer, some soft milk chocolate notes a hint of maybe bread but hard to identify, the scents are complex and light lactose sugars and a touch of butter. Full well coated palate, so far I wouldnít have though IS & 11% as itís more subtle and softer. Flavor is lots of chocolates definitely milk and a lightly bitter cocoa powder finish some light hints of an earthy hop finish. Overall not at all what I expected, non traditional IS, but I still enjoyed it.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at HopCat. Clear brown with a thin taupe topper. Aroma is sweet with chocolate, cocoa powder and dark roasted malts. Taste hacked up and artificial, like someone dumped Hersheyís Diet Chocolate syrup in my beer. Sweet and a bit cloying with a chocolaty finish.
