Opaque black beer, pale tan head. Softish palate, crisp and minerally edge. Minerally dark malt, not heavy, roasty or bitter. Mild tangy fruits in the undertone - orange and darker fruits. Cocoa powder chocolate dominates before the minerally dry finish. Pretty light for itís abv and with good flavour!

Bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar, thanks! Dark maroon brown, small fluffy brown head. Aroma of chocolate liqueur and subtle licorice. Taste is silky dark chocolate candy with a darker chocolate liquor center. Tasty.

Draft. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate, licorice and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted dark sweet malt flavor with a medium to heavy chocolate sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This beer exceeded my expectations.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. A chocolate milk stout aroma with vanilla and coffee beans. In mouth, a smooth bitter chocolate with woody vanilla notes, roasted notes, nice. On tap at Boston Beer Summit, April 16 2011.

Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roastiness, coffee, bitter chocolate and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, light coffee and light roastiness with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.

Bottle shared by CaptainCougar. Pours black, near opaque with a small, fizzy tan head, short retention with spotty lacing. Aroma is chocolate and coffee malt, prunes and dates, light ashy smoke and light alcohol. Flavor is dark malt, lightly sweet with chocolate and light bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

12oz bottle. Poured a dark black with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of earth, roast, chocolate, burnt grains, wood, and a pile of manure. Tastes of vanilla bean, caramel, chocolate, and malted milk balls. Taste different than the aroma. Thinner body with 11% alcohol hindden.

Opaque black with little head. A little roasty and boozy aroma, with a spot of vanilla. Somewhat thin for the style, not so well integrated. Bitter chocolate and some vanilla, bourbon, coconut. A sipper, not so drinkable. Kenís bottle.

355mL thanks to CaptainCougar. My 200th Imperial Stout rating. The pour is a deep brown to near black with a dense, thick, cinnamon head. Small retention with weak lace. Nose is ash, sweet cherry, husky malt. Giant husky malt, raw malt, oatmeal. Taste is syrupy sweet but gains vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Nice dense palate. Little bit of ashy bitterness. The gf liked this one and she is the RIS snob. Probably palate fatigue as this was the last beer of the night for me.
