3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 malkyore (53) - - MAR 14, 2013Pours thick murky dark brown with no head (by the time I got to it in the flight...). Aroma is malty. Brown sugar and caramel and malt. Taste is sweet caramel and malts up front with hints of coffee at the end. A great beer that I would get again.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 nuplastikk (3284) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 10, 2013
12oz bottle. Deep opaque brown, approaching black body. Thin, oily beige head. Sweet chocolate tinged aroma. Leaning pretty heavily into the brown chocolate flavors, this is a pretty good Stateside Doppelbock. Soft delicate noble hop balance. Smooth lager tones, still remains pretty drinkable even with the high ABV. Doesn’t really have the big, pungent yeast characteristics you might expect, rather straightforward. A touch better than average, for an American version.
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 hawker (11) - New Hampshire, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Not the best, but have had way worst. Nice taste, complicity is what i want. Big plus for the look of the bottle ;D
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Moosetracks91 (7) - - APR 10, 2013 does not count
Pour is dark, dark similar to a "light porter" or dark amber. Head is dark white that retains for only a minute or so. First sip is a light, almost creamy start to a sweet malty almost bitter/roasty chocolate finish. Light carbonation. Overall not a bad beer but not a great one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hotstuff (3340) - Indiana, USA - APR 10, 2013
Backlog rating 4-17-2009 (Bottle) This beer pours a small tan head with poor retention, very little carbonation and lacing, transparent body, and a dark brown hue with an orange tint. The Aroma is malty, sweet and chocolate. Ditto for the Taste. The Palate is tingly and this is a medium bodied Dopplebock. All-in-all, this beer needs more flavor for the style and on that fact it is a disappointment as I enjoy drinking this style of beer.
4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Krej (42) - - MAR 14, 2013
Had this in a flight on tap. No head and it looks very dark. Amazing aroma. Its very malty and caramely. Great brown sugar, caramel, cream taste. Its a little sour too but overall its really good.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Naka (684) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Pours a pretty fizzy burnt caramel. Small-off white head that was gone quickly. Aroma is strong brown sugar and an unappealing minerally medicinal smell. Rich, overly malty flavor. The bottle is old and it is all kinds of oxidized, but it is ripe. Tastes like caramel Windex. Dumped.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Mittenator (453) - Michigan, USA - FEB 20, 2013
This was not as advertised. Bland chocolate and malt flavors that finish way too quickly.

Bottle. Pours a near black. Medium tan head. Aroma of roast and chocolate. Flavor of roast, chocolate and caramel. Very creamy texture. Roasty mouthfeel. No bitterness. Very tasty. I really liked this. Will try again.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Suttree (4452) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Dark burgundy, decent sized head. Smells like prune, raisin and red wine. Seems a little boozy, like its a little higher than 9.5%. Some more dark fruit in the flavor, more red wine, prune, some woody flavors. Ok...
