3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sweet and a bit thin. A little smoky as well. It’s not the typical dopplebock. An interesting beer, but not what I expected.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Tasted more like a strong brown ale than a dopplebock. Could have been stronger in taste in alcohol, as the name ’voodoo’ would imply. I guess I’m disappointed.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(bottle) pours a deepest brown colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of heavy raisins and brown sugar, with lots of kiwi and some sugar icing. flavour is mostly brown sugar and lightly roasted malts, with a hint of walnuts and a pronounced peachy fruitiness. medium to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

2.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pretty weak overall, appearance is the only thing going for this beer. Not , much in terms of nose, flavor or palate. Hints of copper and raisin. Decanted into a mug from 12 oz bottle. Not much going on....pass.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown, a little deeper than most ive had for its style. Adds more choclate flavors akin to a porter, balancing out a little of the bready richness. Average.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a dark, dark brown with ruby hues. There is a thin white-ish head that leaves spotty lace down the side of the glass. The aroma is very sweet. There's a lot of caramel and malt, but it's not overly complex. The flavor is a pretty similar fashion. A sweet caramel and maltiness. It's pretty thin, so it leaves a little to be desired in the mouth feel, but overall it's pretty good.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
on cask at Buckeye Beer Engine, this packs a punch for a lager.. but not all that interesting to drink, it helps being on cask with smoothness for a 9.5% beer. but your basic malt profile leads to a boring beer.

Pours a near black brown. Aroma of syrup and sweet sugars. Taste is sweet up front and moves quickly to smokey. A little weak overall bit not bad.
