COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This malty, sweet, dark amber colored German-style bock beer is brewed with imported malt and hops. Its uncommon smoothness and impeccable taste make it the perfect companion for a cold night.

Bottle. Sweet malty aroma. Deep caramel color, light head. Sweet taste with some sourness in the back. Okay beer but this style is not my favorite.

Pours a clear dark red/amber with a full yellowish head. Sweet toasted malt and maple aroma. Complex sweet malt, caramel, maple syrup, and buttery flavor. Some hop bitterness noted after the swallow. ABV undetectable. Very good effort!

12oz bottle blah blah... I have a love hate with this beer, I had a nice dark stout the other night before this and it tasted horrible, but did the same tonight and it tastes the way I remember from last year. This beer is not that complex, the flavor is dominated by strong caramel and burnt sugar. Still pretty solid and i’ll have some more this year and probably next.

Dark amber brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma of toffee, chocolate, light smoke, molasses, nut, soy. Taste is rich malt, biscuit, more malt, some yeast flavors. Thick body, burnt bitter finish.

Picked this up in Michigan over Christmas. Served in a tulip. Pours a pretty dark crimson color with a bit of a mahogany tint. Very slight tan head with a bit of retention and quite a bit of spotty lacing. The nose brings forward a bit of dark, slightly-tart cherry. Dark fruits are present throughout. Taste improves a good deal on the nose. There are some dry dark fruits plus some molasses. Cherry notes are there as well. Slightly woody, actually. Mouthfeel is light to medium with a severely-dry finish, all things considered. Drinkability is alright. Nothing really wrong with this, but the finish is quite odd and I didn’t particularly care for the nose. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-09-2011

Draught. Poured a dark color, very creamy and rich and bready and malty. Maybe a bit too heavy for a double bock, almost portery.
