UPDATED: JUL 26, 2009 Bottle. A pale yellow body with a HUGE foamy white head, slight spotty lacing, high carbonation. Aroma of sweet pale malt, grain, bread dough and grass. Flavor is somewhat sulphery , a bit of sweet caramel some fruity notes and then a tart lemony taste, short finish, way too fizzy in the mouth. This was drinkable but nothing I would buy again

Bottle. Pours a straw golden body with a white head. Grassy hop notes, sweet malt, and soapy. This beer was spoiled, sour and lemony. bad.

Golden-amber pour with moderate but not excessive head. Sweet aroma and sweet flavor. Hops, malt, and a hint of the advertised caramel. Very soft mouthfeel.

Poured a hazed yellow with a HUGE white head that stood an inch and a half over the rim. It wouldn’t die down and made it hard to pour the rest of the beer. The aroma at first smelled like honey malt but then came some tart vinegar. The flavor was also pretty sour as well. Poop that sucks. It was the only beer in the fridge. I couldn’t drink it. One of only three or four drain pours out of well over 3000 beers.

This beer first distinguished itself by the amount of head present - it seemed to sort of gush all over the place. Body seemed a bit thin and was a clear (but not brilliant) yellow. Aroma was slightly sweet; not quite corny or grainy...almost mediciney, although I read soap in another review and could agree with that too. Flavor is slightly sweet but rather metallic and soapy. Mouthfeel is OK. I won’t be driving any great distance to have this again. I bought this 12oz single at Brew&Brew in North Ridgeville, OH.

Pours pale yellow with a very generous white head that lasts well. Nose is faint soap and cookie dough. Flavor of soap, rather faint malts, rather sweet. Watery/soapy mouthfeel. Neh.

7/12/07: Bottle.
Bright orange-yellow body with a large, airy, white head which was full of large yeasty holes. Yeasty, grassy lager like nose. Flavors include hay and a bit of lemon.

By far the best of the 4 atwater beers I had that night. Citrus/carmel aroma, clear yellow pour, and a nice sweet flavor that is easy on the tastebuds, with very little bitterness.

For a lager, this one was great. Easy drinkinable beer, no idea why they call this one hell. Light grassy taste. If the price was right I’d grab a 6 of this in a second.

Appearance: Pours a clear yellow body that is so, so fizzy. Smell: Over this past Labor Day Weekend, my friend and I boiled brautwurst in a mixture of Warsteiner beer, white onions, and sauerkraut prior to grilling them. This beer is exactly how the remaining concoction in the stock pot smelled. Taste: Flavorwise, it tastes like a lager crushed under the weight of all the sulpher contained within. Finishes tart, faintly bitter, and mercifully quick. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Drinkability: Sometimes these beers are so aptly named! All of the various Atwater beers I’ve tried recently have been nothing but a mess.
