Does look good, hazy orange and white pillowy head. Candy banana, light yeast. Sugary. Bubblegum taste. Active body carbonation. Don’t mind this at all. Sweet though. (At Deanso’s tasting)

Found this in a bottle shop in Paris I asked the man working there for a nice biere de Garde and he said when he thought of the style he pictured this in his mouth, very pleasant. Very nice blonde beer. Good citrus and spices in both nose and taste. Full bodied and good balance.

Pours a peachy golden color with a big fluffy white foam. The nose has some bready pilsner like malts, wildflower honey, a touch of apricot and grass. The palate follows the nose nicely with a nice smooth mouthfeel thats round but could use a touch more of carbonation. The palate has nice complexity from beginning to end... nice bits of fruity yeast esters, rustic grainy bread, tart lemon and more wildflower honey that rolls on the finish with a nice restrained sweetness.

Pours hazy gold into a snifter. Bright white head with little retention recedes leaving sheet lacing to skim surface. Sweet herbs and and wheat. Dry with sweet summer hay and dandelion upfront turning to herbal yeast in the medium-length finish.

75cl bouteille partagée avec mon père. BB 12/2014, Lot#48.
