Shared 33cl on tap at the Au Brasseur. Pours an almost clear amber colour with a off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, toasted, lightly yeast and with some leather notes. Soft carbonation and medium body. Taste is more sweet than bitter. Overall, probably the more tasteful and balanced of all the four we had (Blonde, Blanche, Amber and Brune), but a bit boring.

Draught @ Au Brasseur, 22, rue des Veaux, Strasbourg, France 67000.

Clear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, caramel, fruity, light yeasty, leather notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, dry, caramel, notes. IMO. a bit borring. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20121003]

On tap at the brewpub. Dark golden/amber coloured, small white head, hint of malt in the nose. Sweet malty, light fruity and some hops with notes of metal. Single but pretty sharp hint of alcohol near the end.

On tap the best of the four available beers. A light cloudy amber beer with good head. Nose is on yeast and fermented notes. Aroma is sweet with caramel notes as well as metallic notes, not bad bud should got more body, medium hops bouquet.

Medium offwhite lasting head. Amber body. Light malty caramelly aroma. Dry-sweet roasty caramelly taste with syrupy papery notes. Light body. Mild, soft moufheel. Dry resiny citric aftertaste with grassy fruity notes. Not bad, but maybe a bit light on the malts. Nicely drinkable, though. (0.15l draft at brewpub.)

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a white dimminishing head and lacings. Low sweetness quite bitter. Slightly fruity with a hint of yeast. No carbonation. Medium to light bodied. Dry slightly fruity and sour finish.

750ml bottle from the brewpub: poured dark orange with a small light beige head. The beer is too cold at present to get much of an aroma but what is there is mild hops and some orange. Light roastiness. Flavor is light, mostly orange and a little hops with slight malt. I do like it. Easy drinking and clean. Moderate sour finish. A good beer. Possibly the best French beer I have had to date.
