Nice black colour, Crisp tan cocoa lace. The head dissipates quickly. Strong aroma of chocolate, cocoa and coffee with roasted malt. Thin texture which was a little disappointing, Strong coffee flavour with roasted malt. Nice beer but lacks some grunt.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large light brown bubbly head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light dry coffee and very subtle roasted malt. Taste lack character with some light dry coffee notes and some very subtle roasted malt. Body is below average with carbonation that is too strong for the style – seems like I am drinking a Coke. Not the worst offering from this brewery but definitely not something I am likely to try again.

Belle mousse qui demeure moyennement. Peu de goût au début. Le mélange de la lie la rend plus gouteuse. Il demeure un goût acre. Bonne senteur de café.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur noire-brune et opaque. Nez de grains de malt rôti-brûlé, de café, moyen de chocolat au lait (lactique) avec des traces fruitées (cerises). Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aux notes crémeuses. Léger goût de chocolat au lait (légèrement lactique) accompagné de traces de fruits (cerises, bleuets) auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût de malt rôti aux notes brûlées ainsi qu’avec des notes de pain grillé et de chocolat noir puis en finale l’on retrouve un moyen goût de café ainsi que des notes de houblon herbeux. Post-goût moyen, moyen-léger amer de rôti, de café, léger de chocolat noir avec des traces de houblon herbeux.

Bottle - 341ml. Poura an opaque black body with low carbonation and a thin brown frothy head. Good malty aroma with cocoa and roasted coffee hints. Taste is slightly misbalanced and carries some blueberry and aciditic notes. It ends with a decent bitter/roasty finish.

A clear dark brown stout with a very thin dissaoearing light moka head. In aroma, light chocolate and mashed chick peas. In mouth, light chocolate malt with some acidic points, rather light. On tap at Fête Bieres et Saveurs, Sept. 4 2009.

Bottle. Aroma is quite standard for a stout, roasted grain and truffles with a hint of something spicy maybe ginger. Taste is good but as with all maitre brasseur beers, watery and short it leaves you alone with your tongue way too quick.

Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de café et de chocolat avec une pointe de céréales. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût.
