A clear amber ale with a thin off white head. Lots of gunk in the bottle. A fruity orange aroma with hherbal rye notes, and some berries. In mouth, a good crisp malt with notes of rye, cereals, like the type in pellets, nutty, with notes of torrefied malts bitterness. Not bad. Bottle from Joanette, 3.39$ for 500 mL.

Pours a cloudy orange amber color with a thick offwhite head. The aroma has a pleasant spicy hop presence with mild malt. The flavor feels dull, there’s earthy dry hops with fruitst, not much rye spicyness in there. The body is light to medium with a chalky texture and medium to lively carbonation. I like a good rye beer but this one is disapointing.

Bottle (500ml). via trade with Viper666. Cloudy roange-amber, smallish frothy white head. Not much aroma at all - grainy, hint of raw alcohol. Taste is ... bitter, like a slightly sour, weak acidic hops - a little thin, but I find it oddly satisfying. Weak, flat body, a little acidic, herbal/bitter aftertaste. Not great, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Don’t get much "rye" in it.

My Bottom Line:
Calm citrusy fruitiness floats atop the caramelly cereal, while wheat-like tartness dries out the back end. Cleanly-brewed, but not the most satisfying beer in their lineup.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the cloudy amber.
-The carbonation is fittingly low.
-Maltiness is rather simple, which is endemic to Maître-Brasseur, it seems.
-A vague herbal hop bitterness colours the fruity tartness.
-Rye doesn’t contribute to the body that much, which is surprising.

Bottle; no date.

500ml bottle, super hazy muddy amber-orangeish hue, with a tiny white head or none, yeasty fruity nose of peaches, apricots, toasted malt, faint raw cereals, mostly rye, hint of spiciness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a yeasty fruity charcter, a mild rye malt smokiness, with a floral hop leafiness accent, spicy, with some peaches and manderines fruitiness, no carbonation whatsoever, leading towards a lingering hops bittering finish.

Comments: Rather ugly looking with the muddy, inactive body that fails to gather any considerable head, but the rye does its magic again and imparts a nice spicy flavour that blends well into the estery (peach) and strong tea-like flavour profile.
