PJMTL (9) - LaPrairie, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 18, 2007 does not count
The "Nectar du Diable" fell short on every aspect. The color was a very hazy golden yellow that I could have very easily overcome had there been any type of aroma or flavor to follow. No carbonation & flat on the pallet. This tasted as if it had not finished fermenting. A strong taste of yeast that was quit bitter. If I had brewed this I would dump it as I would suspect some type of contamination.

(Rating #1224)

MartinT (6340) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 5, 2007
My Bottom Line:
The juicy lime and pineapple fruitiness of this blemished Belgian Golden Ale leads to an incoherent yeasty tartness. There are obvious bottle-conditioning issues here which harm the beer greatly.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-There is barely any head on top of the cloudy pale yellow.
-Carbonation is nearly dead, making the beer feel like a sample from the fermenter.
-A doughy yeast presence is felt, which might have been nicely integrated, but it’s hard to tell with such a lifeless body.
-The fruit pith aroma could have been fun, but in this state appears unripe.

Bottle; first batch.

Bu au Festival Bière et Saveur 07 (fut). Blonde vaseuse, mince collet.
