500ml bottle. Dark brown with a thick foamy beige head showing above average retention and nice lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, yeast and a bit of spices. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, metal, yeast, cardboard and a touch of fruits and some hop bitterness. Medium body with a slightly oily mouthfeel.

My bottle [500ml] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus. Pours a deep clear amber with an average size diminishing tan head. Slightly mild aroma of caramel malt, some light sugary sweetness, nuts and hints of smoke and dark fruit. Flavour of caramel malt, brown sugar, dark fruit, alcohol and a hint of peat. Light to medium bodied. It’s a little mild and dull for the style but there’s nothing bad about it, it’s fine.

Bottle (500ml). Shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Clear amber pour, small diminishing fluffy off-white head. Light sweet caramel malt aroma overpowered by earthy dry herbal bitterness, some yeast and spice - same for the flavour. Light body, quite astringent, long bitter dry aftertaste, almost gritty. Ehhh.

Bottle Pours a murky brown with a good off white almost tan head. The head lasts well. The head is creamy and laces okay. Has a good aroma of molasses, caramel, and fruit. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good. I get many of the aromas in the flavor. Has a medium body. The texture is a touch oily. Has a good finish with a pleasing aftertaste.

500 ml bottle from Jovi, served at cellar temperature in a Maudite snifter.

App.: Deep ruby copper, clear, light tan head. Aroma: Minty herbals, nuttiness, brown sugar, molasses, licorice, fairly fruity, some dark dried fruits, a touch spicy, some alcohol on the nose, light esters. Palate: Medium+ body, very sparse carbonation. Flav.: Similar to the nose – molasses, toffee, some light minty herbals, some fruitiness, slightly woody, some alcohol, biscuit malts; lightly sweet with a little bitterness, leftover burnt sugar and light fruitiness.

Tastes pretty good.

500ml bottle. hazy dark brown/ruby red pour, with a beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, and some sweet ripe fruit, maybe some figs, and plums. Carbonation is a little high, thew flavor is subtle, and sweet with some nice caramel malts, and more of the fruits. Quite light bodied for a scotch ale. Nice stuff.

Bouteille 750ml.
