Commercial Description:
Here's a nugget that James Marshall missed! Pale and crystal malts provide the backbone and golden hue, while Magnum, Simcoe and Chinook hops do the dancing on your tongue. Late hop additions to the kettle and aging on the "dry hop" give our India Pale Ale hop aroma and flavor worth digging for!

A quality IPA with enough hop aroma and flavor to satisfy this hophead, although the iced tea-like sweetness could have been knocked down a few notches. The aroma explodes with a heavy dose of citrus and piney delight, with a semi-sweet malty note. Piney and floral hops punch the tastebuds around with enough force, it’s quite the enjoyable IPA but the iced tead does show up. A very enjoyable IPA, and one I would like to try from a cask.

On tap in grass valley. Pours is a dark gold/amber with white head. Begins with nice juicy hops, pine, grapefruit, and caramel malt, but finish with grating bitterness and metallic taste. Start good, finishes bad.

On tap at Sacramento Brewing. This amber ale poured with a thin off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a full-bodied caramel malt flavor with some very nice hopping. Tastes great!

Another superb golden to amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. A superb fragrant resinous c-hops, pinhey, green hops. In mouth, a good biscuitty malt, subdued c-hops, light grapefruits, medium bodied. Excellent IPA. Got to have a taste of the unfiltered version which was equaly good. On tap at brewpub, 27 August 2009.
