"slightly better body than the regular ipa, but i like the hop profile of that one better than this one. absolutely nothing wrong with it, but the gold digger set the bar pretty high. good beer overall. rerate 1/09-had side by side with the Gold Digger and this one is actually better. GREAT body, good piney aroma and flavor. 12/10-now bottled...22’s for $7, and renamed PU240."

Pours a clear copper with medium head. Aroma is citrus pine bread and some spices. Taste follows the aroma with the spices and pine hops more pronounced. Very nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear amber, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, pine, resin, light caramel, the usual works. Medium bodied, moderate to high bitterness, big PNW hops come through. Oh so typical.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the brewpub. Strong pine and citrus combo in the aroma. Light red in color. Pleasant hop citrus flavors with a light malt backbone. Some alcohol noted, but smooth. A dry finish from the hop bitterness. Just a touch undercarbonated but enjoyable.

Clear orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, citrus and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering grapefruit and hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small beige head. Nose brings out loads of caramel malt, resinous hops, tropical fruits, and residual sugar. Flavour is well-balanced between the hops and malt, with loads of resinous hops, pine, and caramel malt that doesn’t cloy. Extremely well-balanced, with a big piney bitterness that lingers on and on. Great IIPA.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled (?): 09AUG12 – dunno if the date is botled on or best by….
Pours cloudy amber with a solid sheet of light apricot foam. Gobs of lace. Smells of tangerines, orange, grapefruit, biscuit malts, some bits of crystal malts. Flavor is sweet with a rounded bitterness and flavors of sweet toast and good amounts of fruity hops. Overall a little more malty than I’d prefer. A little full bodied if you ask me, subdued carb and a semi dry finish. Drinkable, wouldn’t seet out, for me it’s a little too hi ABV to want to sacrifice my face to it.
