COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full-bodied with roasted, coffee undertones, our stout is mashed with over 100 pounds of oats to give it a smooth, creamy profile. Nitrogenation is employed to produce a thick, creamy head and to enhance drinkability. Its name is a tribute to the former bar and restaurant that formerly occupied ours!

Picked up a growler from the alehouse and drank it the same day. A nice finger of tan head on a black body. Looks good. The aroma is coffee, chocolate and cream. Quite nice. The taste has a solid bitterness throughout. There’s a coffee and cream flavor too. Smooth texture with low carbonation and a heavier body. A solid stout and sessionable at 4.8%

On draft, nitro, at whole foods tap room roseville...Deep black in color with aroma of light roasted malts... Thick creamy head from the nitro... Flavor is akin to Guinness, creamy mouthfeel, roasted malt forward, not too much going on here... Okay ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

on tap at the auburn ale house. A deep darks tout with a thin moka head. A sweetish chocolate aroma with light berry notes, almost like a fruity mokaccino. In mouth, a good chocolate over resinous hops, and powdery chocolate. Oily mouthfeel. Medium to rich bodied

Draft @ the brewery. Dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate and coffee with some light lactose and esters. Flavor is rich sweet chocolate, bitter coffee and some light roast. Medium to full body with creamy carbonation. Solid beer, really rich and smooth.

On draught at the brewhouse. Massive coffee aroma is beautiful. Aroma also has roasted barley and slight chocolate. Black with a tan head. Smooth chocolate and coffee flavor with the roast more restrained in the flavor. Viscous mouthfeel.

Tap: black pour with medium sized creamy tan head. Aroma is of roasted grain and coffee. Flavor is lightly bitter roasted grain, a little coffee and a floral jasmine-like note with a dose of creamy oatmeal sweetness. Interesting flavors, mellow palate throughout.

With a sampler, at the Brewpub. Darker brown with a light medium tan head. Nose was coffee with a hint of chocolate. Smooth and creamy in the mouth, with a kind of sweetness. Very tasty.

On tap at the brewery. Color is dark brown/black. Aroma is dark roasted malts with some chocolate notes as well. Flavor is the same, dark roasted malts, light chocolate flavors, and some coffee flavor as well. Palate is smooth and creamy as to be expected with the oatmeal and nitrogen. Overall a nice stout.

A - Pours a dark black with a big thick covering of creamy brownish head. The head hangs around for quite a while leaving behind some nice lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of deep roasted chocolate malts and a bit of sweetness and oats mixed in as well. T - Starts off with some light roasted chocolate malt and a bit of sweetness and oat flavor. Through the middle a bit more sweet milk and oats come through. The finish is a mix of roasted and sweet chocolates that linger. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. The beer feels smooth and very creamy. The beer has an very nice texture from the oats and nitro serving. D - Very drinkable and smooth and creamy. Nice roasted flavors and sort of light but not empty at all.
