3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DruncanVeasey (5136) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2011
750ml bottle out of my Xmas lucky dip from the in-laws-to-be. Amber?? More like ruby with a loose beige collar clumping with yeast. Medicinal, lightly oaked aroma with hints of banana, marzipan and cherry sourness. Flemish-hinting brew with flecks of acidity, marzipan, iron, a distinctly herbal green leaf finish (rocket!) and some splashes of drying, tannic, red wine character. A bit messy and homemade in feel, becoming too metallic for its own good but carries the alcohol deceptively well. Unusual brew with an unexpected complexity- accidental or otherwise.

Had this at Chris O’s pre GBBF tasting, 02-08-08 cheers for a wonderful day Chris Hazy light gold in colour. Some dustiness on the nose not unlike when you open an old wardrobe. Quite sour at times and reminds me very much of lucozade.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2008
A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting Murky amber brown colour with a thin off white film. Chewy malt with a sourish old hop type fell to it. Slight spice in the finish that is very sharp.
Not great.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 oh6gdx (16000) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 7, 2008
Bottled. Amber colour, small white head. Quite homebrewish sourness. Flavour is like infected mushrooms along with some rotten fruits. Also some slight spicyness noteable in the flavour. Probably some kind of infection going on.
