3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 RichardGretton (3756) - - MAR 13, 2005
Cloudy blonde beer with a frothy head. The aroma is sugary and slightly fizzy, and the flavour is quite sweet and slightly watery. Overall a reasonable beer.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (5136) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2011
750ml bottle from the in laws-to-be. Filmy orange with the bits in and a good, subsiding billow of head. Aroma of lime, lilies, slight farmyard. Grassy hop speckled with sherbet; candy cigarette and oaked hints. Straight down the middle, tasty, no frills stuff. The condition dies over a bottle, but this is good enough to make me wonder what other minor treasures are lurking over the border in that obstacle between England and Belgium...Frenchland, I think they call it.

A Mes rate: bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting. Hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Pretty raw and unrefined with a lot of tartness. Sweet and yeasty all round with more sourness in the finish. Some interest but not too special.

Bottle at Chris_o pre GBBF Shindig 08. Cloudy gold, thin lasting beige head. It’s a sourish biere de garde, bit musty, pourly made. Very uncultured aroma. Pretty poor by most BDG standards.

Bottle@Home. Skunky aroma with some citrus. Yellow color, cloudy, off-white head, fair lace. Citrus, citric sour, light bitter, bit skunky and certainly buttery, medium body. Way before BBD.
