Sweet rye bread, kvass-like sweetness, a discreet bitterness in the background. Old fashioned is the term that springs to mind. Nice, but too sweet, lacks an edge to it. Maybe it would ahve worked better as a bock?

bottle from Biershop-bayern.de. Clear brown colour, large off-white head. Slightly fruity aroma. Medium-bodied, malty background, hints of biscuits, shy fruity flavours of dark berries, quite interesting and unusual. Good!

Draught: Chestnut-amber coloured, mid-sized stable off-white head, moderate caramelly-toasty nose with a very faint metallic tinge; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, quite soft, light to medium bodied; shorter dark-malty and slightly bitter finish. Average Dunkel, not bad......

Bottle. It pours a clear, brown body body with a beige head. Roasted malt, caramel, a little fruity touch and some ryebread notes. In the mouth there’s an evident hoppy fruityness and decent bitterness, as well as the roasted malt, caramel and ryebread found in the aroma. There’s some chocolate hints too. Mellow mouthfeel, medium body. Nice bitterness in the finish. A nice dunkel. (081025)

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and pumpernickle bread. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and pumpernickle bread. It has an OK body. Thanks yespr for sharing.
