Rich roasted sweet malt aroma, with some nice toasted nuttiness. Mouthfeel is quite rich and creamy, with some dark coffee roastiness and caramel, with a bit of dark fruits as it warms. Smooth, but still very creamy and clean.

Jul 8, 2007 mahogany color with a very small khaki head. sour earth aroma, thin to medium body with light full bubbles. tastes mostly of earthy toffee malt with a sourness that carries a hint of lemon, dry and a light bitterness to the sweet.

Poured a reddish hued brown with a small foamy, bubbly topped head that quickly settled into a fine bubbly lacing.
Aromas of cocoa and caramel with a light breadiness, a soft fruitiness and a tad floral.
Moderate carbonation and a softly crisp, dryish, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of lightly roasted malts, powdery cocoa, caramel and toffee, a hint of nuttiness, a subtle, almost sour, fruitiness, a very soft earthy spiciness, just enough hops to let you know that they there, a slight grain breadiness appears towards the end, and a dry, watery malty finish.
Easy drinkability, but I could have used more in the roasted malty department, kinda flat, thin tasting.

Nov 12, 2006 Dusty gold. Rather fat and buttery, really quite herbal stuff, a mite smoky. Oddly rich, like weedy toffee.

Oct 7, 2006 Had some toffee notes with a bit of soured acidic fruitiness to it. Not bad but wont be buying it .

Sep 26, 2006 amber brown color,light tan head,malty aroma,caramel maybe a bit of toffee with a slight burnt side.Malty taste with a slight metallic side with a mild hop and caramel showing.Very nice brew.
