(bottle) pours a clear copper colour with a frothy light beige head. aroma of grain, vanilla and grass, with hints of dark fruit and custard. flavour is mostly the same, with a hint of bread dough, tobacco and a herbal-hoppy light bitter finish, not a trace of sweetness. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

500ml bottle. Clear dark amber colour with small frothy off-white head. Malty aroma with explicit milk chocolate note, a nougat touch, a hint of alcohol. Chocolatey malt taste, decent underlying grainy touch, husk. Well handled sweetness, a touch of roast in the end.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Amber color. Sweet caramelly and bready aroma with nuts and diluted coffee. Bready and caramelly flavor with roasty coffeish and nutty finish. Surprising coffee finish, feels more like a strong dunkel than a bock.

Swing top bottle from Bierzwerg. Dark amber colour with medium head. Aroma is malty, Flavour is malt, sweet, not that geat bock.

Deep amber-ruby color, good beige head. Chocolaty, malty aroma .. kind of similar than in some artifical chocolate beers. Medium-bodied. Chocolate/cocoa and caramel, coffee in malty flavor. Weak late hoppyness. Interesting different bock but flavors are a bit unbalanced althought it has very robust malt profile.

It’s beautiful mahogany-red with a creamy, golden head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark syrup, fruit, cocoa and light oranges. The sweet flavour has notes of licorice, fruit, oranges, dark syrup, cocoa, and the finish is dry and slightly bitter. It’s remarkably well-balanced, perhaps the best bock we have tasted.

Etwas wässriger Start, verhalten malzig werdend, im Mittelteil etwas alkoholisch. Das Bier bleibt weiter wässrig und ist nur wenig würzig, auch der im Abgang auftretende Röstmalzton kann nur gering gegensteuern. Test vom 25.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,7,8,10,7,8 - 8,40

Bottled (from bierkompass.de). Amber colour, mediumsized beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is chocolate, some toasted notes as well as dark fruits and caramel malts. Flavour is chocolate, some toasted notes, caramel malts and also quite bittery. Really pleasantly balanced bockbier.

Bottled 50cl. Ordered from www.bierkompass.de. Reminiscence of DMS especially in the aroma. The nose is indeed rather dissapointing. The taste is a little better. Malt accented.

Bottle. Clear amber colour. Flat carbonation, slightly sweet and malty in the beginning, becomes increasingly bitter towards the end.
