Test vom 29.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,12,11,13,11 - 11,35

Nice find here. Pours dark amber with thick beige, fluffy head, and head sticks around. And besides the appearance, a damn good beer to boot. Malty, fruity aroma, hint of spice.Taste is rye, pumpernickel, hints of fruit (apples and citrus), complex. I really enjoyed this.

500 ml flip-top bottle from Wasana’s in Germany. Pours a deep ampber clear color with an almost orange tan head large lasting head. A great looking beer. Aroma is sweet caramel, fruit and candy. Taste is more subdued and mellow. Taste of over ripe fruit and cream. Palate is smooth and mellow then ends dry. A very unusual beer.

Bottle. Amber small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and light roasted malt, faint hoppyness. Moderate, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, some caramel and light roasted malt, light grassy hoppyness. Caramel sweetish märzen with light hoppyness - OK but nothing special.

From gravity at Holy Grale. Aroma of pumpernickel, almonds and some toast. Appearance is amber brown with thin white head. Flavor is quite almond-centric with some bread; the finish is slight toasty and minimally herbal. Palate is oily and soft. A delight.

#582 Die Flasche und das Bier selbst sehen gut aus. Der dominant brotige, süß-bittere Geschmack (Roggen- oder Dinkel) ist nicht mein Ding. Insgesamt zwar trinkbar, aber ohne zu begeistern. Test vom 29.1.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,9,9,9,12,9 - 9,45

Bottle, pours a dark copper colour. Light aroma of caramel malts and hops. Flavour is a nice balance of hops and malts, with a light grain undertone. Not bad.
