2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 RAYBOY01 (2003) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 26, 2006
Slightly sweet roasted caramel maltiness, but very watered-down and illusary. Virtually no hop profile and a very watery finish. This looked so much better than it tasted!
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Cornfield (5239) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JAN 4, 2006
Handome pour, dark chestnut with ruby highlights and a creamy tan head that hangs around for a while. The aroma is a sweet-yet stale caramel, perhaps lightly roasted. Very thin, watery palate. It tastes like the brewer intended it to be malty, but watered away the caramel sweetness. Hops appear quietly and briefly in the finish. As a dunkel, this is a so-so American dark lager.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 JohnnyOS (646) - Golden, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 24, 2005
Pours light reddish-brown with medium head. Mild malty aroma. Taste was mild malt with some hop, but both were overpowered by the strong carbonation.
Definitely left a tingle on the tongue.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Schroppfy (2319) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - NOV 27, 2005
Mmmm. Better than Creamy Dark! Yes, entree into the quite good range with this one. I like the snappiness (some corniness mutes that a bit) but no real sweetness and even a tingly hop bite (of the pencil shavings variety). Thinner than desired, but a nice and very easy-drinking surprise.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 thedm (4116) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 18, 2005
This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of light brown colored fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent carbonated ruby red brown colored body. The aroma was sweetly malty. The mouth feel was mild and smooth initially with a tingly finish. The flavor was mild astringent and contained sweet malts with a mild hop background.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 JFGrind (1552) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 1, 2005
Dark brown dunkel, that’s kinda flat with a slight caramel flavor. Nothing exciting here and why is it in a green bottle?
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hotstuff (3213) - Indiana, USA - OCT 31, 2005
Bottle. Mostly diminishing small tan head with fine, small and medium sized bubbles, fair lacing, transparent, carbonation, and a reddish brown hue. Malty, caramel, slightly roasty nose. Sweet, malty, caramel, roasty, and smooth flavor. Smooth mouthfeel and light body.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Ratman197 (5536) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 30, 2005
Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a small amber head. Aromas of carmel and burnt toast with some sour notes. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmelized malt, some nuttiness and a bit of smoke with a sweet finish.
