This poured a dark amber. The aroma is caramel and toast. The taste has caramel and some abc sugar gum. There is also a grassy note. Better than I expected.

Sampled at Brew Ha Ha 2005: Pours black in color with a good head that left quickly. Aroma was slightly burnt and I wasn’t looking forward to that. Turned out the after-taste was somewhat burnt also.

Pours to a think black color with a small head. Slightly sweet smell; thin mouthfeel. The taste is rather unremarkable; most of it dies off early.

Right from the bottle. Dark, earthy, sugary dirt? I think that kind of sums things up. At the time, I was not in to dark beers, but have since changed my feelings, without a retry.

12 oz bottle: dark beechnut, sour black lagerish flavour, with a burnt hack stack aroma. I think that some of the barley was roasted, perhaps they used a bit of manure...not for me, this one.

Autumn Brew Review 2004. Brown color. Vague malt presence with an actual touch of alcohol. Bland.

Light Brown Coloring. No Head. Carbonated...Easier to Drink Then The Lager. Some Malt. Pretty Watery...It’ll Get You Drunk I guess.....

Bottle. No head. Looks like Coca-Cola. Smells sweet and syrupy. Nose smells slightly of malt vinagar. Flavors of molasses, malt, and carbonation come through. This tastes like flat Dr. Pepper with a touch of alcohol. Finishes crisp with a moderate mouthfeel. Not bad, just not good.
