Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Nov 14, 2005 tap at brewpub in Augusta, MO. pours pale yellow with a nice fizzy white head. aroma has notes of diacytl, grainy, leafy, hoppy (spicy). flavors are sweet grainy and with some hop bite in their as well. very bitter, but not really overly for this style. long bitter/hoppy finish that becomes grassy over time. MrFacto (1027), Greenville, North Carolina, USA Oct 19, 2005 Thanks to JPDipso for sharing this. Pours a golden color, small white head. ARoma of malt straw/barnyard hay. Flavor is sweet and malty, balanced with a slight hop kick. CaptainCougar (4599), Rockville, Maryland, USA Sep 11, 2005 Sampled on 8/14/05 courtesy of JPDIPSO: Pours a still, clear golden with a thin, wispy white head. Aroma has lots of saaz hops and a good, dry malty presence. Body is lightly soapy, very dry and bittersweet with a semi-earthy dry finish. Very smooth and maybe even over-hopped for the style, but still decent. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 31, 2005 Wheaty bock aroma. Pale amber body, thin head. Stale, astringently hopped wheat. "Astringency" is not overpowering though. Some banana and pear in there to make it interesting. Light, but not bad.
