UPDATED: NOV 10, 2011 A hazed amber alew ith a thick moka head, lacing. In aroma, nice biscuitty malt with Britsh hops, light mineral notes, a bit of marmelade, nice. In mouth, a surprisingly hoppy ale with light caramel, herbaceous, floral hops, sustained bitterness, grapefruit, very nice. On tap at Burger Bar, May 21 2011. 8-3-8-3-14

As AAXH: A hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a smooth grainy malt with light floral hops. In mouth, a smooth malt with grainy malts, light honey and floral hops, not bad, but I prefer the original. 6-3-7-3-12.

Pours a solid orange to amber, with a bubbly creamy head. Citrus on the nose, cilantro even. Full flavour, bitter, true hop head style of beer. Enjoyable.

Tap at Fynn’s of Temple Bar. Pours a hazy orange/gold. Pretty carbonated. Bubbly cream head. Aroma is mildly hoppy citrus (no pine) and bready, with orange, honey and a little cinnamon. Medium body. Not overly flavourful. Mild caramel malt up front, with a medium finish of lemon, grass and a bit of mineral. Little hint of coke or root beer. Warms well. Nice little standby. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at The Burger bar, golden-amber-copper color, with a white head, nice fruity, piney, leafy, floral hop nose, with some faint toasted, caramel, biscuity malt note, and some citrusy, lemon, grapefruit english hoppy accents in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp earthy flowery, leafy, grassy, piney, hop character at first, with a zesty, lemon, grapefruit peel, cedary backbone, and a light biscuity, toasty maltiness undertone, leading towards a nice leafy, grassy, piney, citsusy hop bittering finish.

Decent and very drinkable beer. Nice balance of prominent malt character with a good, american-style hop profile. Not hoppy enough for an IPA or APA in my mind but nice.

On tap: Pours a roily copper colored ale in the tumbler, smallish cap lasts and laces. Decent aroma; pungent cereals mingle with fruity esters and spicey-grassy hopping, some musty earthiness. Flavor is well defined, deep bready malting balanced off with spicy-piney hops, fruity...mild character, soft mouth feel,...finishes long wet and bitter with an extended wet metal taste. Nicely done pale ale in the old Burton style.

On cask at Bryden’s in Toronto. Nice slightly hazy light copper colour, with foamy head and nice lace. Sweet malt and slight bitter. Very balanced with nice lingering aftertaste.

At Gambrinus Bistro. A hazed copper with a thin beige ring. Citrus and herbal hoppy nose, with bread, toast, and dark fruits as well.A decidedly fruity sweet flavour profile with medium bitterness overall. Medium bodied, quite creamy and soft. Long bitter finish with a metallic twang lingering.Good effort.
