Augusta Alpen Brau Pilsner

This brewery is definitely for maltheads! Being one, I really enjoyed almost all of their beers, including this one. Deep yellow in color, this sparkling clear lager has a small, creamy, white head. The nose is of grapefruit and orange blossom honey. The flavor is very malty with notes of honey and straw. Decent hops and balance, but very rich and malty. Almost balanced, but still very imperial pilsneresque. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, malty finish. Very nice!
