Draft at Augusta, served in a pint glass. Pours a hazy old gold color with a small, uneven white head that leaves some lace. Rising carbonation bubbles don’t slow for quite a while. Aroma of nice, fresh citrusy hops, pineapple, grapefruit peel, sweet malts, grass, and resin. Flavor of resinous hops, borderline oily, with grapefruit citrus, orange peel, caramel malts, and some tropical fruits. Medium-bodied, with a bitter, resinous mouthfeel and lingering bitterness. Really nice IPA.

Draft at the Washington Town & Country Fair, August 2011. Not my idea of a dog days of summer beer, though... Sticky sweet malt base, overly bitter, and not gulpable enough to quench my thirst. Should I lighten up, or should they? Does every IPA need to go over the top?
