Sledge Jr (2692), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 26, 2007 On tap at the Parkville Microbrew Festival. Pours black with a light brown head. The aroma and flavors are very roasted. Fairly watery with a thin body, but it does have a pleasant bitterness. Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Nov 14, 2005 tap at brewpub in Augusta, MO. pours deep brown with a nice sudsy tan head. big roasty, coffee, char aroma that is somewhat one dimensional, but not in a bad way. big char, anise, roast flavors with a largely roasty finish with some light smokey notes. very char laden finish. body is almost lite, but not really detracting since the flavors here are well delivered. I like ! sneagrams3 (1314), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Nov 6, 2005 Tasted 11/5 from the brewery. Dark brown and opaque hue. Chocolate, medium coffee roast, slight sugar and caramel, and anise notes in the nose. Chocolate and caramel flavors at first, then bitter and coffee. Creamy stout, with a mild dry hop finish. Easy! JPDIPSO (4178), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jul 21, 2005 Light chestnut color with a taller light tan head. Mild pale malt and roasted malts along with brown sugar in the aroma. Thinner feel. Light roast and coal flavors. Quite dry and quenching. No much depth though. clingman71 (160), Centerville, Ohio, USA Jul 10, 2005 Irish style stout, dry , roasty, and beautiful. An excellent version of this style of stout, whilre not very big, it was very tasty.
